“This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!”

“Claire’s service in the pub was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome with her warm smile and friendly attitude. She was attentive without being intrusive, always anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. Our drinks were perfectly timed, our food came out just right, and she handled everything with such professionalism and genuine care that it really elevated the whole experience. Claire clearly takes pride in her work, and her positive energy made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. “Couldn't park in the disabled bay as a van owned by the window cleaning company Cashmore Window Cleaning was parked in the bay. Not disabled which ment I had to walk a distance to the door because of inconsiderate people”

“We were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across the Olive Grove. At first, we thought they were closed as it looked dark through the windows. When we got inside we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff offering to find us a table and insisting they were open! I think there were two other customers in there, so it was very quiet. (the number of customers is often an indication how good a place is, so I was a little cautious). Anyway, I needn’t have worried. It turned out to be a lovely place to stop for lunch. I suspect as it’s a Bistro and a little tucked away, their evening trade will be their most busy time. The staff were very helpful and the service prompt. The decafe tea was good and the food excellent. I had a platter on a wooded board, with chunks of different types of bread, cheese, olives, salad and cold meats. It was delightful! By the time we walked out I felt I had just sampled a taste of Spain.”

“We went for an afternoon tea and had a delightful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the decor has a lovely vintage charm. The tea was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and tasted amazing. There was also a great choice of different teas to choose from.”

“first time visit, five of us arrived 1pm on wednesday, the pub almost empty. the menu is comprehensive and sone special offer two meals for £16 and £12. good setvices and the meals we ordered were delicious. the baguette was fresh and soft. meals were in generous portion. they will change ownership in two weeks. hope the new owner keep up the good standards.”

“Wow dont know where some of these reviews are for but not the same place I've been. Been a few times and been lovely so decided to take my service users in the minibus and have a treat. They and staff had different preferences from fish to sausage to pies. All really enjoyed them and ate nearly all. Was well worth the 1.5 hrs round trip. Will defo be going again. Staff were really nice despite throwing 10 orders at them at once. Has for the review about staff eating in the back, if I worked there I'd be having my food onside. Thanks”

“The food is absolutely gorgeous, there was barely anyone in (early on a weekday) so we got to choose our table and had quick service. The food was all home cooked really good, not standard pub food at all. Pie was full of meat, gravy was great. The pasta was full of chicken and chorizo, we couldn't finish it all!”
