   This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!

   Lovely traditional little bar/restaurant. There's an outside viewing area for the airfield too, where we sat, which I believe is dog friendly (don't worry, it's fully enclosed) Menu is homely - nice to have proper home made chips, and my teenager enjoyed his generously filled sandwich. Service from Paula was excellent, and all the other patrons were friendly. We'll be back!

   I mean don't get me wrong the food was truly lovely, potentially one of the most if not the most satisfying bacon butties I've ever had. But it was the welcome from the two ladies, the lovely perfectly made cup of tea and the fab club house that did it for me. Landing wise the runway is like glass, it is short and there is a bit of wind sheer or there was when we landed but its kept perfectly with minimal bumps and rough bits. It's also (wind permitting) Uphill so there isn't any roll.

   Skyways bar and restaurant netherthorpe its a fantastic place a5 star restaurant and bar ,we have gluten free choices and allergen awareness .we make most of our cakes and bakes on site so why not come and see the planes and have a snack or a main meal .open at the moment fridays from 11 am .Saturday and sundays 9.00 till dusk,looking forwards to see you all visiting, it maybe for breakfast or pie and chips ,soup and sandwiches, scones ,cakes ,a cool soft drink or if you're lucky and someone is driving a beer larger ,wine ,tea coffee or hot chocolate x.so come and see us ,you may want to book a flight ,or learn to fly x
