“The restaurant was recommended by a friend and we wanted to see for ourselves if it really deserves a 5 star review. I can definitely say that it trellis deserves more than that: from the cosy atmosphere to delicious food and excellent care from the staff, a very delightful evening was at hand.”

“Didn't know what to expect... First timers with Ethiopian food. Warmly welcomed, food explained & very tasty. No cutlery, eat with the copious Ethiopian bread & fingers. Ask about heat/spiciness if concerned - mild dishes available. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.”

“Absolutely fantastic! Da Leo Italian Restaurant & Pizza is a true gem — the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into Italy for an evening. The food is bursting with authentic flavour; you can tell everything’s made with real care and fresh ingredients. The pizzas are perfect — thin, crispy crusts with generous toppings — and the pasta dishes are rich, comforting, and beautifully presented. “First time visiting this establishment, whilst on the higher side cost wise, the food was faultless. The steak was cooked exactly as requested, the staff were pleasant and attentive, so much so we went back for lunch the next day. The "wedge" is an interesting answer to the question "How do you sell people 1/8th of an iceberg lettuce" , and to be honest, it's genius. The onion loaf was, fantastic, and the vegetable medly certainly played exactly the right tune on the taste buds. If up this way again, this will be the first choice.”

“Warm welcome as we arrived. Had the lobster, salad and side of frys. It was well presented and absolutely delicious. Great selection of seafood with thick slices of good quality bread and butter. Finished the meal with a lovely chocolate brownie and ice cream. Lovely evening.”

“This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!”

Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.”

“This was a gift and we chose the shorter lunch option as we didn't have experience of tasting menus. The service was very friendly and welcoming, not intimidating at all. All the menu was explained but not in excessive detail. I had the wine pairing which was well worth it with 2 English wines included. I think this was a good value menu for the amount of detail in the cooking and number of courses . The alcohol menu is also extensive and not over priced.”

The food was delicious and great to try something different to other Indian restaurants. The owner was very friendly and the waitress also was really helpful at explaining the menu and helping us choose. Would recommend if you are in the area.”

“If you want a great meat dish and have money to spare, this restaurant could be a good choice. We ordered nachos as a starter and asked for extra brisket on top. It was a very good choice. The main course was truly legendary. The meat was cooked to perfection and was very juicy. Unfortunately, the desserts were weak, but we can overlook that :)”

“I recently attended a presentation, which was hosted here, by Chris Potts about his experiences on HMS Glamorgan during 1982. It was a great evening at a lovely venue such as The Cross Keys is. We were served an absolutely gorgeous buffet half way through the evening which was well received. The staff were all very polite and efficient and at end of the evening it was my pleasure to meet the lovely owners, Tony and Hayley who went out of their way to make this a special evening. From another ex-Glamorgan, I too served on that great ship back in 1982, thankyou I will remember the evening with pleasure you are fine hosts!”
