We came to city restaurant for my birthday and we all had a great time. The service was excellent, the waiter made us feel really welcome and went out of his way to make my birthday special. As for the food we all had different dishes and all throughly enjoyed them. The beef goulash which I had was the best I have ever tasted and my wife's fillet steak was better than most steak restaurants. My parents who are vegetarian were spoilt for choice and had the aubergine stew and vegetable pancakes which they thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be visiting again soon, a real gem in doncaster.

A stunning little place in the heart of Doncaster. The food is of an exceptional quality, you can tell loving care has been put into both its presentation and preparation. The quality of the ingredients is high. The service in atmosphere this fabulous. I've eaten in some exceptional restaurants across the UK and the world, it's heartwarming to know we have the level of quality and passion for food in Doncaster. I was highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
What a find! Visited with friends who have been before and I was really impressed. The food was lovely and the drink selection really varied. I particularly loved the smalec served with bread as a starter. Definitely recommend the place for something different, but delicious. Potato pancakes were just like my Prussian born grandmother used to make x

Great great great. Don’t let the outside fool you. This place is well worth a visit. Complimentary starter and after dinner shot. Brilliant food cooked very well. Staff went above and beyond, we will be back.
Had a lovely evening at the City Restaurant. Menu options are great, my partner and I both tried meats we'd not had before which the chef cooked to perfection. And the staff made us feel genuinely really welcome. Complimentary starter and digestive and discount for next visit. Oh and they chased us down the road to give me back my purse which I had forgotten!! 10/10 customer service! Will definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely meal!
