“I've eaten here twice now, once on a Saturday evening and once on a Sunday lunchtime. On both occasions I found both the food and service to be exceptional. The staff were both helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I live 45 minutes away, but the food was so incredibly good that I happily travelled that far a second time, and I would happily travel there again and again. The burrito was delicious, as was the roast dinner. I also liked the fact that they have vegan drinks on the menu. In the future I would be very interested in attending one of their cookery classes.”

“nutella crepes are my favourite food so i have very high standards but go crepes defintely met them. the wait was slightly long considering it was a small queue but the staff did apologise and were very kind and made sure my order was correct. crepe was perfectly cooked i had nutella and strawberries, my go to, and it was delicious. prices were reasonable unlike many dessert places now a days. will definitely be returning!”

“We had a great meal at Gem Turkish Restaurant. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The octopus dish, in particular, was absolutely outstanding – easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. My only complaint? The remix of Creep by Radiohead that came on during our meal – a complete travesty to music! But even that couldn’t spoil an otherwise excellent evening. Highly recommended.”

“The food was so good! We ordered the curried goat and the jamaican brown chicken both with fries as they were both delicious and perfect portion sizes. Very friendly service and quick too. Definitely would recommend!”

“We went for my husband’s birthday lunch and had a great meal. Also we must commend on all staff, who were very nice, professional and friendly. I am vegan and GF and everyone went out of the way to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I had tofu to start with and saffron risotto for main followed by something amazing and fluffy for dessert. My husband had chicken liver pate, sea bass and cream brûlée. Everything we can recommend 100%, all beautiful! We can’t recommend this place enough, very uplifting experience! Well done all team!”

“We visited ‘The Bird’ during a stay with family, it was brilliant. Fantastic menu in a spacious and beautiful restaurant/bar. The staff were without exception friendly, polite and attentive to all our requests. It was a pleasure to be there and without doubt be returning. Only problem is we live in Kent so will come back when we can.”

“Amazing, absolutely amazing. Me and my partner went to the wine vaults for dinner on a quiet Monday night and we were the only people dining. The server was welcoming and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely gorgeous, we had the focaccia bread and pork scratchings for our starter. The focaccia was baked to perfection, if I had more room in my stomach I would’ve eaten the entire loaf. Four our mains we had the duck and the beef wellington. Both were absolutely perfect, with a special mention to the truffle mash that came with the beef wellington, I would go back just for a bowl. The wine vaults is that restaurant you always hear great things about but never get around to going - but you need to! The food alone is 5 star and the service is impeccable!”

“We had a lovely meal at Bella Italia tonight. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed every part of it. Our server, Ilona, was absolutely wonderful — so friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better server. The manager was also fantastic — very welcoming on our arrival and he made sure we were well looked after throughout the evening. The whole team made the experience feel relaxed and special. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Amazing restaurant, staff were so friendly and helpful when choosing what to eat and even fit us in with five minutes before the kitchen shut. Food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price. Cocktails were very strong around £10-12 each. Atmosphere was cosy and intimate. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu in the future!!”

“Had a wonderful meal here for my nephew's graduation. The service was good, the food amazing and its a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Traditional and authentic. It was just a pity they refused to serve a 125ml glass of wine to me, but that was the only issue.”

“Had a very nice meal here while staying in Wroxham. We reserved a table for 6 online for mid week dining. We had an indoor table overlooking the river. Our server was excellent and attentive and everyone enjoyed their entrees and desserts.”

“Went for breakfast club. Warm greeting. A good array of hot breakfast items ( and chef even cooked my bacon a bit extra as I like it crispier) . All hot. A nice continental selection toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and crumpets along with fruit juices, tea and coffee. Good value and delicious.”

“I used to come here on my 2 hour lunch breaks at Easton college back in 2010(ISH). Sink 2 pints in the bar to the right whilst waiting for our fresh cooked chips and sausages and the occasional pickled egg. Loved it. Came back recently out of nostalgia and the need for a decent chip shop. It was open! I'm pretty sure the gentleman and lady serving were the same that served me then, hadn't aged a day. I skipped back to my car with my food. Instant nostalgia, delicious chips. For 2025, this chippy is in my top 5 in Norfolk.”

“Visited today for a late Father's Day meal. Asked for the set menu, not a lot of choice but still good enough mixture, my food was good. Service was fantastic, fast, and friendly. Also, 2for1 on cocktails, so they went down a treat. Bottomless on the diet coke, so well worth the money.”

“My partner, a friend and I had a lovely meal here with nothing I can think to criticise. We really enjoyed the food and drinks, but best of all was probably our waitress Libby, who goes above and beyond to assure a positive customer experience. Service is friendly, attentive and fast. We didn’t have to ask for any extras or more drinks etc as these were offered to us frequently throughout our visit. Would highly recommend this restaurant for excellent service & food/drinks, as well as good value for money. Will definitely be back again soon!”

“Lovely decor, really well done out inside this place. The food was fantastic, we had a Groupon voucher for a 3 course meal and a drink for two that cost under £30. I had the skate and my partner had the lamb shank for our mains and couldn't fault it, really good value, way too much food for us and ended up taking desert home in a takeaway tub! The staff were friendly and helpful overall I would definitely recommend going here and will come back again soon.”

“Lovely end to a weekend at Alder Country Park. Anthony went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. And compliments to the chef Dillan food homemade and delicious. All staff members worked so hard and even kept the kitchen open after hours for customers who arrived 45 minutes late. All the best to the Olive Tree for the future. Thankyou very much. X”
