   I think this is my favourite place in Norwich. Food is simply amazing. Menu very very good. Atmosphere just right. Staff are attentive and professional. Lovely bar area for a drink before you have dinner. The canapes and warm bread rolls are a treat in themselves! I was blown away and cant wait for our next visit! Thank you. I had the Salt Cod Scotch Egg, Breaded Cod then finished off with an amazing Raspberry Soufflé Soooo good!

   We visited for my Wife's birthday and had the 50 year celebration tasting menu with wine flight. It was outstanding! The restaurant is in a beautiful setting and had a lovely atmosphere. We both agreed this was the best tasting menu experience we have had. There were so many special touches from the flambé at the table to the final light bite with our coffee. We were served by the owners son, Rio, who was very attentive and knowledgeable and you could really feel the family touch throughout. We will definitely be back! Thoroughly recommended

   We went for my husband’s birthday lunch and had a great meal. Also we must commend on all staff, who were very nice, professional and friendly. I am vegan and GF and everyone went out of the way to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I had tofu to start with and saffron risotto for main followed by something amazing and fluffy for dessert. My husband had chicken liver pate, sea bass and cream brûlée. Everything we can recommend 100%, all beautiful! We can’t recommend this place enough, very uplifting experience! Well done all team!

   Went here for our anniversary. The service was really good. Even though they got our main wrong they quickly replaced it with the correct meal. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. While it was a tad expensive as a special occasion it was worth it. Would certainly go back.

   My wife and I had our micro wedding reception at Stoke Mill in November 2022, and we’re so pleased that we did. In the lead up to our big day the owner Ludo was hugely accommodating and took the time to go through every aspect of the day with us, which made us feel completely at ease knowing we were in good hands.

We had considered other venues, but for us Stoke Mill ticked all the boxes, the food and service is amazing (we had previously eaten here so knew their high standards). The actual venue itself is beautiful inside, it’s very close to the city centre (ideal for us as we got married at the Norwich Castle) however it’s still completely private and secluded with lots of beautiful spots for photos, they stock local wines, there’s plenty of parking, and finally we could play our own music through their speaker system! Small details but they were important to us!

Special mention to the chef and waiting staff who were working on the day, the food was incredible and the staff were all extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble, thank you, it really was the most perfect day.

   Enjoyed a lovely 3 course menu for £30, all presented to a high standard, the minute steak was cooked to perfection, adding the little appetizers just puts the icing on the cake. Update. 16th Sept. Enjoyed another lovely meal at the Mill. Cost has now gone up to £33, but a small glass of wine and a coffee included, still excellent value for very tasty food and excellent service.

   Lost a star, and almost 2, for the fact that one of the senior front of house staff could do with reminding how to speak to colleagues, especially in ear shot of guests, phrases like “I’ll chop your head off” don’t have much place in any work environment. However, the remaining staff were great and the food, atmosphere and setting all excellent and so it feels unfair to not provide a just review on that basis.
