“Great, cheap diner. The embodiment of 'cheap and cheerful', staff were very friendly with a lot of polite banter being thrown between each other and customers. Food was very decent for basic food but the price is very reflective of this, we were more than satisfied that we received value for money. The service was very quick, and all our food (meals for 6) came out at the same time, some variation in the meals too. I can recommend for a meal to fill you up or for a quick bite.”

“We had a dinner with ~20 of our close family and friends at The Suffolk back in May the night before our wedding. James and the team at The Suffolk were extremely welcoming. We met with staff, including the chef, beforehand to confirm a menu and discuss details. They listened to our preferences and dietaries, and catered for everyone including toddlers. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. They provided us and our guests with a night to remember with fantastic food and a relaxed but fun atmosphere. We highly recommend eating at The Suffolk, and considering them for any special occasions. We’ll definitely be back again soon.”

“A serendipitous find. Looking for lunch after browsing some of the nearby antique/junk shops. Good food - cakes too tempting, pleasant people, good service, excellent prices. What's not to like? I believe the place changed hands in November 2024 and the new owner seems to be making his mark. It'll be on the radar for another expedition to the antique shops.”

“Really nice place with amazing interior. Plenty of space and really welcoming and friendly staff. Good food at a decent price. I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Buttermilk chicken burger. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing. Went with my daughter on father's day and got a free beer! The toilets are downstairs in what used to be the vaults and a couple of bits have been retained for character. Would definitely go again but would order something else. Easy to book online. Recommended.”
