Visited on Thursday to end our holiday and found this to be a lovely, cosy pub with a fabulous outdoor space. Such a shame it was a chilly evening, as the views of the river are gorgeous. My family had the steak and stout pie — absolutely delicious — while I had the risotto, which was lovely but could have used some larger broccoli pieces and maybe a bit more veg (just a personal preference). I can imagine this pub being especially warm and inviting in autumn and winter. My only small suggestions would be to dim the lights inside slightly and add some background music, as it sometimes felt a little too quiet. Overall, a really charming spot.

First visit for food here. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had GF fish and chips and chicken burger which were very good. Also the burger was. Average price for food, but generous portions. It was quite quiet for a Saturday, as the weather was awful, and would have been busier if it was nice as a lovely outdoor seating area by the river.

The food would have had 5 stars but the mixed leaf salad was very gritty it needs to be washed, the staff was lovely and fast and efficient, the views are amazing, would I go again yes definitely and hopefully the salad would be washed

We moored up here for the night . Mooring was free as long as you ate at the Pub . This was no hardship ! We had Steak and chips and coleslaw from the lunchtime barbecue and it was perfect. The next day we also had lunch as we were still moored. Burger and Hot Dog ( again from the barbecue) superb . The Landlord and staff are super lovely . Absolutely faultless. Wish we had a pub like this near us.

Our last night stop at Coldham, thank you to all the staff that have looked after so well, on our ship Dignity, with great food, beverages, top up of water on tap and their lovely cheery pleasant manner towards us over the last 3 days. We will be back as always!

I love this pub. It's not close to where I live at I have visited many times. The staff have always been so friendly and nice that it's a warm and welcoming place. I have had a lot of different food here and it all has been great. The grounds surrounding the pub are lovely and I can imagine sitting outside on a nice sunny day watching the boats go by.
