   Recommendation from my best friend who loves his food as I do. Chinese is my favourite food. It was a treat. I have tried over my lifetime, chinese takeaways in Norwich, and when i used to be away with work- ĺmany in Norwich and nationally, and its not about quantity, its quality for me. Its taste, freshness and flavour I had my favourite dishes a few weeks ago and have been back once more for chinese curry, as the first visit was that good. I always pick up food, personal choice as its not been in bag transported by car or bike. For me, in own opinion, this is best chinese in norwich based on quality of food etc. My best friend recommended new golden house to me, and he gets all takeaways every weekend. I have recommended this chinese to some people I know who have takeaways. One said to me she already gets chinese from New Golden zhouse, and is best in Norwich for her too. Outside of norwich, she said Hethersett is equally good.

   I have ordered from this restaurant several times, and each time I hoped the quality would improve, but this was the final straw. The level of dishonesty in the preparation of the food is shocking. I ordered Beef in Black Pepper Sauce, and what I received was a disgrace. The total weight of the “beef” in the box was only 166 grams including the sauce. Instead of meat, the box was stuffed with 180 grams of cheap vegetables like onions, peppers, and carrots. This is not “beef in sauce” — this is vegetables with traces of meat, sold at the price of a full meat dish. Charging £7.70 for a half-empty box filled mostly with onions is shameful and shows complete disrespect to customers. This is not a mistake — this is a deliberate attempt to cut costs and deceive people. After several similar orders, I can say this is not an accident, but a pattern. I won’t be ordering from this place again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before spending money here. Attached are photos clearly showing how little meat was included and how the box was filled mostly with vegetables. The portion speaks for itself — this is simply unacceptable.

   Food is good but delivery shocking. Waiting over 1.5 hours the past two times we have ordered mid week. Won't be using them again as the food is just turning up far too late to be enjoyable and not true to timings offered at point of ordering

   I ordered directly from their website, but their prices weren’t much better than Just Eat, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend ordering on there. The food was tasty and arrived hot, with a decent portion size for a small, oh and they do give you prawn crackers which is a bonus. However, the crispy shredded beef was disappointing—it was mostly onion, small in portion, and not crispy at all. The egg fried rice was quite plain compared to traditional versions, and it would have been nice to see more vegetables in it. On the plus side, the soup was good, and the balls were enjoyable. Although it was a busy Valentine’s night, the service was very slow, taking 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive after placing the order at 8 PM, I will give them credit though they did answer their phones. For £45, the portions felt quite overpriced, but that is shrinkflation these days. Overall, I’m unsure if I’d order from here again.

   Ordered through just eat and 2 out of 4 were the wrong order. My mum is a vegetarian, she asked for tofu with satay sauce and it came as chicken in sweet & sour sauce?? the quality of the food was not great either which was disappointing. will not be ordering from here again. However, delivery was quick and arrived 40 mins earlier than it said on the app and the delivery driver was a very lovely man.

   Ordered through Just Eat, food was perfect temperature and was around 30-40 quicker than stated. Food itself was pretty mediocre, the House special rice had only 2 prawns, meat was sparse. Honey chili chicken was pretty tasty but had lettuce in for some reason. Worst was the Roast duck Peking style, hardly any meat again and bulked out with onions, sauce was ok but sweet.. Average, won't come back

   I made the mistake of ordering through Just Eat who didn’t update me correctly and told me I’d had my delivery before I had so I left a bad review which was a mistake. The food did arrive in a reasonable time and was stunning! Tasted so fresh and absolutely delicious. Will order again and again if they will forgive my first misguided review.

   Only came out of hospital couple of days ago, just me and Mr daughter, we thought if we order alot we can heat the rest up tomorrow. How wrong I was forgotten the happy family meal, forgotten the prawn crackers, honest for what I paid, terrible what you got or didn't receive. When I can drive again back to Wroxham, at least their chicken balls are round, don't look like they are sat on... Very disappointed.

   Me and my partner just had our first and last Chinese from here. The food we ordered LOOKED absolutely stunning. my partner couldn't stomach hers after 2 mouthfuls. I found 4 hairs in one tub of rice, how does that even happen?!?! I proceeded to eat it anyway (I know I'm a wrongen) and I'm now writing this review from the toilet just 10 minutes after finishing it. Save your money it's disgusting

   Ordered twice. Both times took 2 hours to turn up, no apologies from driver. Onto the food, which was poor as well. Small portions and poor quality for a high price. Chilli and salt chips were soggy and flavourless. Kung po chicken portion had about 7 bits of chicken in. Chicken balls more like chicken discs! I am not surprised to read some of the horror reviews below. Would steer well clear of this so called Chinese
