Just had a family meal at the priory, it was probably one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. The staff were very friendly but the food was awful, the main meal (carvery) was served only just Luke warm, one member of my party had crème brulé for a dessert, this was served with a bad strawberry on top and the brulé was runny and not cooked, just awful!

Went for breakfast club. Warm greeting. A good array of hot breakfast items ( and chef even cooked my bacon a bit extra as I like it crispier) . All hot. A nice continental selection toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and crumpets along with fruit juices, tea and coffee. Good value and delicious.

Tried this restaurant for the first time on Mothers Day and was very impressed! We received a warm welcome from all staff who seated/served us and thought the carvery was great. There were lots of choice of veg and was nice to also see pork and lamb available which isn't too common in many places. The home made Yorkshire puddings were lovely. My only criticism would be that for £16pp I think pigs in blankets should be included in the carvery, not an extra charge as its already a lot to pay. The pork was cooked perfectly, it was incredibly soft. The barn is a really nice setting and we were lucky enough to sit upstairs which made for a lovely atmosphere with all the fairy lights they had decorated it with and being able to overlook the downstairs restaurant. A really enjoyable experience.

Such a nice friendly clean restaurant, staff so friendly and polite, it's never to busy, not to costly. So much better compare to beefeater and the cliff Hotel. 100% recommended this restaurant. The prawn cocktail is amazing too. You don't wait to long for food either. The chef is really good cook best I've seen for ages

Had wonderful memories of this place so decided to take my wife for her birthday / mother's day. It did not disappoint and we had a lovely time with the children. The service was friendly and the food delicious, fresh and great value too. The portions were generous and wel left feeling very pleased. We will definitely be back for more hopefully for years to come.

Recently under new ownership, has had some small renovation touches yet still retains its charm. They are now open for lite lunch bites as well as evening meals, we opted for the lunch menu deal and we all said the dishes were excellent.

The whole experience was very streamlined and efficient. The staff were friendly from beginning to end and the value for money is huge! Any one of the fabulous main meals include 2 sides. All 3 were extremely tasty and portion sizes were massive! I would return any day of the week. The Decor and atmosphere were also very well though of.
