Had a really great experience at Mariners Restaurant in Ipswich. It's a unique boat restaraunt next to the marina. The rib-eye steak was cooked perfectly – full of flavour and exactly as ordered. For dessert, the cheese board selection was excellent, with a great variety and well-presented. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and overall experience. Service was also a big highlight; the young chap who looked after us was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!

Went for an early lunch as a couple. First visit. Warm welcome to elegant dining room. A real fire burning to fight the chill We ate off the set menu as good choice Three courses, all delicious. The kitchen really knows their cuisine. We will be back!

We booked before coming, not sure if you can walk in or not. The inside of the restaurant is really nice and the staff were instantly welcoming and friendly. The menu has a good range, we didn't use the set menu and just order a main and dessert off the standard menu. I had the roast beef (Sunday only) and my partner had the seafood skewer. Both meals were very aesthetically pleasing and tasted good. The portion sizes are generous for the quality of food but definitely leaves room for dessert. I guess also starters for people that expect a lot of food. For those that don't drink, there isn't only alcohol based ice-cream desserts, you can ask to order a scoop of just vanilla ice-cream which is nice to know. I'd definitely return here. It was a very pleasant dining experience.

wonderful experience. the interior was nice and warm, the food was amazing and the staff were so kind, they gave us an anniversary plate! ❤️ we each got the 3 course menu: camembert and onion soup for starters, sea bass and beef for mains and basque cheesecake and creme brulee for dessert

We had a lovely meal at Mariners on a cold February evening. Despite it's age the boat come restaurant was warm and cosy. The menu was small and concise and everything we ate hit the spot. The grilled sardines and the pork belly were particular highlights.

A group of four of us who were sailing got a late (9pm) booking on a Saturday. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice on the à la carte menu. A great wine list too. It was busy but the waiting staff were attentive and very friendly. The setting was great and everything was ‘ship shape’! At around £50 per head, including wine and drinks, it was really good value too.

Three of us ate an early dinner here on a weekday evening. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was simply fabulous with a wonderful attention to detail, delicious flavour combinations and skillful execution. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit; heartily recommended!

Great food, hospitality and ambiance. Nice and warm and happy atmosphere. Went here for late mother's Day celebration. Views over marina good. Aesthetics great. Staff approachable and well humoured. Soundtrack and system in good taste and contemporary. Been here before, will also come again

A totally pleasant dining experience. The service was friendly and without fault, the food was well presented, well cooked and very tasty. My only criticism concerns my table. The deck of the boat curves (as many decks do) so my table at the edge of the deck was sloping very noticeably to one side. Something a couple of blocks would sort out easily.
