βnever had a bad meal yet." Kelly", our waitress was excellent. remember it does get busy, so your better off booking before you go.β
βRestaurant was booked for a conference event so I chose to seat at the bar which was nice and quiet. Food was great and the lady who served me was very nice, friendly and accommodating.β
βNot normally open on Tuesdays, but went for Valentines dinner and had the tasting menu which was amazing. Normal size entries shared between the two of us so a LOT of food. Service was excellent, especially Cara. Everything was delicious and would have a hard time choosing a favorite. Reasonably priced.β
β5th July we have been to the Ferry Boat Inn and a had a lovely meal. Excellent value with nice food. It has a large car park. Very large eating area. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Service was quick. The location is absolutely beautiful next to the Trent. The three of us had a dessert off of the children's menu, and it was really good and an ample portion.β
βHad a lovely all you can eat breakfast for my birthday and the staff looked after us so well. My friend and I visited with our babies and they helped us with high chairs and fetching drinks and food from the buffet for us while we were breastfeeding which was such a huge help. Our eyes were too big for our bellies but they very kindly provided us with take away boxes so we didnβt have any waste. We ordered some Prosecco to have with our orange juice and when they heard it was my birthday they gave it to us on the house. Fantastic service, will definitely be back again!β
βI came in this in morning for breakfast. Very nice, cosy atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. I could see the kitchen staff working very hard and the young guy who served us was very friendly. Really good showing and I will certainly be back again. Very impressive.β
βBreakfast with Santa and play time in the warehouse kids had an amazing time. Service from Kathleen and Kirsty was exceptional, credits to your team. Santa was a star!!!β
βThis establishment boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal or a night out. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The comfortable seating and ambient lighting create a relaxed setting. It's a great place to enjoy good food and good company.β
βI stay at the Premier next door regularly for work. I always find the food excellent - apart from a poor meal on Father's Day but it was manic and we all have bad days. I had a fillet steak last night and it was absolutely amazing. It's one of the few places where a medium rare actually comes to you as a medium rare and the meat was sublime. Staff are always helpful and cheerful and it just has a nice, homely vibe. Highly recommendedβ
βThere is a really nice atmosphere here, lots of space but nearly all the tables are occupied. We found space upstairs and we were served promptly. The stairs and toilets need a bit of love as they show age but otherwise the restaurant is pretty and well situated.β
βThe Wetherspoons food never seem to really disappoint. However the burgers were dry and overcooked. The fish and chips were really good. The atmosphere was good too and spacious. Free refills go down well with many.β
βI recently had the pleasure of stopping by the Waters Edge, and frankly, Iβm still imoress from the sheer generosity of the kitchen staff. I went for the classic burger and chips, and let me tell you, the portion size for the price is nothing short of an absolute steal. A proper, honest-to-goodness feed that didn't require me to take out a second mortgage. If youβre looking for genuine value without feeling short-changed, this place delivers. Itβs the kind of meal that makes you feel both satisfied and smug about your financial choices. On top of the excellent food, everything was served up in a very reasonable timeframe no need to check the local history archives to see when I placed my order, which is always a bonus. But the real star of the show was the service, specifically from a staff member I believe was named Hannah. She was incredibly friendly and patient, particularly when enduring my truly baffling and likely silly questions about the menu (or possibly the meaning of life, I canβt be sure). Her good humour and easy-going manner turned a simple transaction into a genuinely pleasant experience. Give that woman a raise, or at least a mountain of chips of her own. All in all, the Waters Edge is a proper winner. Great food, great value, and service so friendly it makes you want to apply for a job just to hang out with them. Highly recommend.β
βWent for reopening night. Can't see any improvements in the decor New landlady is welcoming and attentive. Some staff slow to serve was on her phone alot. Dj played some good tunes and was quick with requests it's awful waiting for the song you asked for. Small dance floor but lots of people danced which is always good. Drinks were average price. This pub could be a little gem if utilised properly has great scope for a family pub let's hope the new landlady does what's needed in this area and looks to family's rather than attracting the wrong kind as in pervious times. Hope its a great successβ
βgreat visit food was fantastic well done to all the teamβ
