Really cozy pub with friendly welcoming bar staff. Lovely with the log fire on after a walk through Lansdown . I can highly recommend the loaded charcuterie & cheese board as well.
Definitely the best pub in Bath and a must-visit. Ian and Claire are the friendliest pub landlords you’ll ever meet and always make our visits feel special. Cheeseboards are amazing and the cider is served in traditional mugs. Feels like the local that everyone has been looking for.
We stayed in the Airbnb above the pub during our visit to Bath, and we are glad this gem of a pub came with our experience! Lovely owners, cosy atmosphere, great selection of drinks and delicious cheese board! Loved our two days in Bath even more thanks to them.
Stayed here for the weekend with some friends while visiting Bath and honestly, we had such a great time! The pub downstairs has a really cozy vibe, and the accommodation upstairs was perfect for us. Ian, the host, is an absolute gem – super friendly and easy to talk to. We were welcomed with big smiles, lovely chats, and even some complimentary drinks when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. The whole place felt really safe and welcoming. Would 100% stay here again next time we’re in town!
I love The Richmond! Ian is an engaging, interesting and wonderful host. Sometimes the pub is quiet and intimate, other times it’s bustling and loud. I can turn up on my own, or with my family, and it’s always welcoming. They also do amazing cheeseboards!
Only open for one evening during our visit but the quality of wine and beer was great. The olives were so good. Service was really friendly and the general atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Perfect.
Super venue for a party / event, to drop by for drinks and food and sit in the sunny beer garden, or for a nice chilled day. Having held a 30th there, the staff were incredible (shout out to Luke and Callum) and nothing was too much to ask. Superb.

Great place for a beer or cider. Very welcoming casual atmosphere in a quiet part of Bath. Katherine was very nice to chat with and gave the place a nice charm. I was told the upstairs is being converted to an AirBnB of sorts, would definitely stay there next time around!!
