“We stopped here as we were walking along the river and it looked a welcoming place to have lunch. We sat outside overlooking the river as the weather was glorious. We were served by Lillyanne (?) on a Tuesday afternoon. She was super friendly and helpful, we weren't rushed to choose food and we enjoyed a drink before we ordered. Food was amazing, lots of choice and detailed menu. We had the half rack of ribs and the burnt end pork bites which were amazing and served with pickles and onions. We also had fries, tater tots and pit beans. More then enough for a lunch for two and everything tasted great. We didnt have a pudding and we didnt go inside or use facilities so I cant comment on those. Would visit again if I went back to Bristol!”

“Had the Sunday Sharing Platter of three meats. Possibly wouldn’t have if we knew it involved 45 minutes wait. But really great when it came. Cold by the time we finished as the air conditioner was super happy. Staff decent, but a warning of the impending delay would have helped. We could have stood outside. Took a chunk home for my rescue python. Don’t ask. All the best team Miller and Carter.”

“Popped in for a pint and a band were playing "Bombshell" who were amazing! Seemed like a good venue for live music, hope they get more like that, it was really good! The locals seemed like a good laugh too and everyone was having a great time. Friendly staff too and very fast service.”

“We had such a lovely meal here last night with family. The place is gorgeous, they have a good play area for kids and had a bouncy castle out. The outdoor seating area is beautiful with a gorgeous view and the food was incredible, we opted for curries and they were so flavourful and well presented, great value for money. Lovely friendly service too. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others!”

“Came here at 7.50pm they finish serving food at 8pm, fair play they did cook for us. Simple food cooked well at a cheap price. Drinks were good, service very good and the atmosphere was good with friendly people. The worser half really enjoyed his burger. We will call in again”

“Omg… seriously the best steak I have had in a long time. My wife and visited here for the first time on hearing other reviews. We both like a good steak and usually have the ribeye. We both have our steaks cooked differently where my wife has hers well done, no pink, and I have mine medium well. Both streaks were of a nice size and cooked to perfection. The steak comes with a choice of potatoes and sauces. Both with a decent size portion and tasted great. They easily lived up to the reviews that I heard and created the a lovely evening for my wife and I. Service was great and free parking just down the road. Thank You The Golden Lion”

“Amazing experience from start to finish! We were served at the bar by Paige, Mair, Andrea and Keira and the service was super fast, efficient and friendly. Every member of staff made us feel so welcome and honestly couldn’t have done more for us. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and WOW — absolutely unreal! So tasty, perfectly cooked, and served at a great pace. Such a lovely atmosphere with brilliant food and staff. Will 100% be coming back again!”

“Really enjoyed our large family meal here tonight. There was plenty of choice at reasonable prices. Staff friendly and helpful. Service was quick and efficient. all of our food was delicious and served within a reasonable time frame. We happened to be there on quiz night so it was very busy and a bit to noisy for me. There is dog friendly seating areas inside and out also plenty of seating inside and out. Customer toilets, beer garden, free parking and disabled access.”

“Rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need for a stay (including Ironing board, Iron and hair dryer). Food was excellent and served in a timely manner! Although it's on a main road, the car park is easy to access, and very large, and the road noise does not affect the rooms, restaurant, or bar area! All the staff we met, from the receptionist, to the bar staff and servers, and the cleaning staff we met in the morning, were very friendly, helpful and added to a very enjoyable stay!”

“This pub had a really welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and kind. We got the wrong order, but it was sorted out straight away, and the lady apologised profusely. We also got a complimentary cocktail at the end.”

“This place is great for some fun playing pool or darts, they charge per hour 1/2 hour also you can pay per game, the food is great and service always really good! It can get quite busy even in the day, they have members card and student discount cards too!”

“Me and my friends came here on a Friday night. We were worried it was going to be packed but it was just the right amount of people. It was a bit dark and moody which we really liked, they had a live DJ and it was just great vibes. The whole night we just said we love it here. The food as well was absolutely delicious, packed with flavour, leaving us STUFFED. We will be coming back.”

“Been many times to the fantastic Brasserie and our last visit was no exception. I have always felt the food is the best in the whole of Bath, and to boot the atmosphere has a warm buzz every time we go, the service staff are always really friendly and welcoming. Whenever I have friends or family over to visit we take them to the Brasserie as I know it will always go down a success.”

“This place is so good!! Visiting from the US and the employees were so kind. The fish and chips were awesome, as well as the olives and the complimentary dish we received (which I’ve unfortunately forgotten the name of). 10/10!! If we ever return to Bath, we will come back!”

“We had a lovely evening at Cote. Cote has a really relaxed atmosphere. It was great to be able to have a conversation without too much noise. And it was well lit unlike some restaurants where you can’t read the menu with ease. The food was amazing cooked to perfection with a just right portion size. I had the vegan options which there were lots to choose from. The food arrived really quickly as well. The staff were very friendly and efficient too.”

“A really lovely chain option in the heart of Bath. Cosy Club does it's usual formula of providing an off-street Cafe with relaxing vibes and consistent good quality, with the added bonus of a lovely balcony area overlooking the busy square. The food was good, well presented, reasonably priced, and with great options for kids. Coffees were good too, nothing special but reasonably well made. Highchairs were available, and service was incredibly friendly.”

“I have lived locally for many years and didn’t use the pub before due to the poor reception on arrival. However since Joe and Ellie have been in the place has been amazing. Fantastic atmosphere, putting on great music nights, and great conversation. I would recommend this pub as an excellent place for a drink with friends, or a group night out. “This is always a regular spot for me and I love the rump steaks. Throughout the last two years I’ve had two tough steaks and the staff have been incredible in replacing it from one that wasn’t quite cooked to my liking to one that couldn’t have been more than perfect with no issue at all. Probably the best Hungry Horse I’ve been to and the food is very well priced. Always happy on every trip A⭐️”

“Went for lunch and was not expecting much to be honest. We were actually pleasantly surprised. Customer service was very good, nice, patient friendly staff, just what my dad needed as he does get a bit confused now. The food was a lot better than my expectations as I looked at the menu it was very affordable, so I thought it couldn't be that good, but it was actually really good and enjoyable. Disabled access is fine. No issues whatsoever. There are steps up if you want a window seat, but apart from that, it's great. It was spotlessly clean throughout and very relaxing. I suggest you book a table in advance as it filled up very fast and it's obvious why. Thanks to the staff today, you are a credit to the Pub.”

“I found the sraff friendly welcoming. We both had stake which were quite tender considering it wasn't that expensive, I think they had a food deal on that night (Nov 2025). They were bigger than expected too.”

“We visited this evening to celebrate my friends birthday. Our server Clare was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. I'd asked for the chocolate and Strawberry pot dessert but they were out of Strawberries so she asked I'd like a banana instead, it was delicious! She was so friendly and her banter made our evening. Shes definitely an asset to your company. We'll definitely be visiting again.”

“Came today 17.07.25 (for breakfast) and witnessed amazing customer service. Zack was having his break and having breakfast, when it got quiet busy in the pub, so he left his food, and helped serve customers there food, and then went back to finish off his breakfast. Most people wouldn't interrupt their break for other customers....but he did. Well done Zack....that was fantastic service for your customers. Also the lady manager how then came into shop floor was extremely hard working too and didn't stop with serving and clearing tables.”
