“It was perfect. The party of 11 people were all seated together in a lovely private area. They allowed us to put up decorations for my 70 th birthday celebration. I think we all had different meals, but they came out together and we're all piping hot. I had the belly pork and it was simply delicious, I definitely need the recipe for the gravy! The staff were attentive but not pushy. It was a really lovely occasion made even more special by the staff and the food . Well done to you all.”

“We popped in on a Friday lunchtime and it was packed but we still got a nice table. Fantastic boozer typical spoons very competitive prices and a really nice menu personally I love the curry’s. The variety of beers is outstanding. Lovely clean table and very friendly staff oh and how reasonable is the food overall I love it. My only negative is spoons stopped serving Fosters. Keep up the good work.”

“We had Sunday lunch here with the family and it was excellent. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it’s dog-friendly too — the garden room was perfect for us. Mike was really accommodating and made sure everything went smoothly. Would recommend!”

“Came in for some food and drinks with friends. We had a lovely experience, the staff were friendly and funny. We met the boss Poppy and could not have felt more welcomed. She was warm and engaging, giving us a very enthusiastic wave from across the bar. Food was good, had a burger and it hit the spot. Overall a lovely time, I’ll definitely be back.”

“We had a freedom breakfast here on Tuesday morning. The whole place is extremely clean due to very efficient and hard working staff. The meal was great and cooked just how we like it. The atmosphere of the whole place was welcoming and friendly with a large range of ages and groups meeting up. A great place to go.”

“This place is lovely and welcoming. The service was great, food was amazing. The only downside is they add a gratuity onto the bill without telling you or even giving you a heads up (we had a party of 4). When questioned this they said that it’s added due to the level of service. I live in Canada (grew up in UK) and when I go to a restaurant, regardless of the service, I always like to choose what I’m going to tip. The sad thing about it was I was going to leave a really nice tip but seeing as this wasn’t disclosed when we received our bill, one of the guests asked them to take it off and I gave the tip but less than what I initially had in mind as I felt this was so sneaky.”

“Lovely atmosphere, only fault is the online cider you serve is sweet cider and for some of us we prefer a drier one, like thatchers dry or Stowford press. Also no Ash trays in the back smoking area, hate putting dog ends in the floor”

“I love coming here for breakfast and a good chat with friends. No one rushes you to leave, you can just sit and talk for as long as you like. Plus, the coffee and tea are refillable — such a great spot for catching up!”

“Kaylea and Beth were very attentive and gave my partner and myself a very warm welcome when entering the pub. Their knowledge of what drinks suited which meal was very impressive. Large glass of red wine for a steak, and a pint of san Miguel to go with a burger. With myself also working in the trade that’s some great upselling to a premium product! Would definitely come back and bring more people 10/10”

“We were surprised at how quiet it was. The food choices and quality of the lunches we had were excellent and great value. The service was immediate and very friendly. I am gluten free and they catered well for me. Lots of choice. The pub is lovely, in a great location and overall had a nice atmosphere. We would recommend it and especially for families as it had an excellent large and safe playground.”

“Fantastic Customer Service! I ordered a burger but noticed the burgers don’t come with tomato (which I love!) so I asked the lady behind the bar if she could add some too my order and she did! Food was cheap £9-£12 ish, and was good, standard affordable pub grub! Did the job, very yummy. Football and rugby was being shown on the tv, so there was an atmosphere of enthusiastic fans.”

“We had the Carvery. Lovely Meats beautifully cooked Turkey, Beef & Gammon. A good choice of well cooked Vegetables & the Onion gravy was lush. The Sauces complemented the dinner. Well reccomended to all.”

“Nice Spoons this one. Right in the centre of Chepstow. Only Minus was no parking at all. Was clean and tidy. And the place seemed friendly. Bar staff were quick and helpful. Drinks as usual were amazing value with loads of selection. Didn’t try the food but there seemed to be plenty of selection. All in all I would say if your on budget for a quick pint and some food, this is the place to head for.”

“I recently visited The Berkeley JD Wetherspoon in Bristol during the evening, and it was a calm and relaxed experience. “Wetherspoon is a natural go-to when looking for a quick breakfast or drink. I'd normally go to the one along Whiteladies Rd and Queen's Road and today, meeting up with a close friend visiting from Australia, was my very first visit to the Temple Quay branch. Not only was the food I ordered really good, but the service is tops. As it was my first time to order via app, I encountered an issue in my order and apologised for my mistake. The staff (and was it the manager?) So graciously resolved my issue... something which I will remember for a long time. Just wanted to thank those who took care of the boo-boo very professionally and without much fuss. To the management, my hats off to you and a huge THANK YOU.”
