I took my 87yr old mother for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. We both had the tasting menu and my mum had the matching wines. The staff were fabulous, helpful with attention to detail. The food was exquisit. We felt welcomed, cared for and the willing victims of luxury! We highly recommend thos restaurant.
We had our wedding here in October 2025 and can't thank the team enough! Every single person on staff was incredibly supportive and helpful every step of the way. Huge thanks to Jess, our wedding coordinator, who looked after us so well on the lead up to the day and on the day itself. Food was unreal, setup was smooth and flawless, nothing was too much trouble. We had the best day, our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how well the day went! Thank you so, so much.
My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay here and the location was perfect for us while visiting our youngest son for his birthday. We all dined in the restaurant on our first night at the hotel and were impressed with the standard of food and the service by the young guy working in there. Our room was quite unusual with its decor but clean and comfortable. The ceiling beams near the windows were quite low even for us and we are not that tall. View out on to the grounds was pleasant and fairly quiet even with the windows open and the proximity to the M5. Shower room was okay although it was not very spacious and the ornate shower controls do protrude into the cubicle so careful with your arms when showering.
We had our wedding here in August 2025 and were simply blown away by the amazing care taken by every single member of the team! Georgia did a wonderful job communicating with us throughout the process and Rhianna kept everything running incredibly smoothly on the day. We couldn’t be more thankful to the whole team for their friendly and excellent service during our big day, our guests commented on the same! The whole process was made so easy and stress free, I would highly recommend! We cannot wait to continue to go back for celebratory dinners here, the food is sensational!
Beautiful wedding venue! I got married here and had a wonderful outdoor ceremony, and everyone commented on how great the venue was. Great rooms for our guests too, and the staff were lovely and super helpful. Food was great! Lovely space, and I can't wait to come back for our anniversary ❤️

This hotel is a dream place to stay. The hotel has superb atmosphere and fabulous rooms with stunning food in the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming I just love the decor. We stayed on a miserable night but the log fires were burning and the food/wine /whisky was perfect - I can't wait to get back there.
Attended a wedding celebration here. Lovely house and grounds. Particularly enjoyed relaxing in the lounge around the log fire chatting to family and friends. The bar and table service was very good. Well presented three course meal. No available rooms vacant to stay overnight, so unable to comment on these. It was difficult to find initially as the sign for the lodge was not easily visible from the roundabout leading up to it. We had a lovely enjoyable day there on a very special occasion.
This is a country lodge style hotel, meaning the grounds are nicely laid out and the buildings are grand. The rooms are traditionally decorated. The staff were superbly efficient and helpful. Our room, though, had no flat surface free even to put your coffee down, never mind rest your laptop. It also has sloping ceilings, so if you're likely to bash your head at all then don't go for the mews rooms. Location wise, the isolation may appeal from an aesthetic point but there's really nothing in walking distance and the vehicle access is awkward.
my husband and I had afternoon tea here. The little finger sandwiches etc. Were lovely. The place is elegant and the staff are welcoming. However I didn't think it's quite polite to take away each plate of the cake stand as we emptied it. Surely you are only supposed to remove the whole thing when the sitting ends !
