“Yesterday I went for lunch with my family to Bouvardia Restaurant for Sunday dinner. The decor was beautiful, it felt very peaceful there. The waiters were very polite and friendly and gave us recommendations. We were delighted the quality of the food (was told they use local produce and the menu that changes with the seasons) - my son said the beef ravioli was so good that he wants to come and have it everyday! The chicken was one of the most tender and tastiest I have had in a very long time Half way through our meal we were already saying we need to come back for dinner to try the regular menu! Quite surprised most people we told about have not heard about it, a true hidden gem in Bath!”
“Had their today’s special was really lovely. Just a reminder that the portions are quite big if you don’t usually eat a lot they do serve small portions (some of the items) Staff are very friendly and food served quite quickly.”
“We find the hotel very good. A few minor things stopped us giving 10/10 in all categories. 15 mins easy walk from Temple Meads station. We didn't eat there this time however we have in the past and the food was excellent. The reception staff are very helpful and there is a nice relaxing atmosphere in the bar. Overall very good. Will stay again no doubt!”
“Affy is truly the heart of the experience! Every time I visit, Affy greets customers with the warmest smile and a kindness that instantly brightens your day. He serves with genuine care, patience, and positivity, making every guest feel valued and welcome. Thank u Affy.”
“Clean hotel. Good standard, good value for money. Staff really helpful, very good and friendly, very professionnal, especially Sahra. No efforts spared to make our stay as nice as possible. Free parking next door. Cabot Circus litterally across the street. What more to ask for?!”
“Genuine independent people running private and useful, interesting, some unique businesses.”
“We visited on Thursday evening for a special dinner to celebrate somellier Roberto being name in the Top 100 Somelliers in the UK at #27. As you would expect the wines were great and complemented the wonderful food perfectly. Prithvi is the #1 restaurant in Cheltenham for good reason.”
“A wonderful place to have a sumptuous lunch. We had the carrots with honey salad, Jamaican smoked sausage and Roman pork belly and they all tasted real yummy. Nice couple running the place. If only I could bring the American BBQ spare ribs back to Perth, Western Australia I would not hesitate to do so.”
“Lovely little place on an industrial estate in Bradford on Avon. I had the amber lager and hubby a Stout, really good and made on the premises. Really friendly staff that showed us to a bench alongside the canal. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. It's only a small place but packs plenty of punch.”
“Sam and Syed are the best. Everyone else is a mess. Coffee soothes me on the train. Always to come back again.”
“Cute pub, lovely staff, amazing selection of craft brews on tap, fantastic outdoor beer garden… what more could you ask for!”
“Fantastic service, good food and a broad menu. We stopped at this pub on a long walk on Sunday, without a booking. It was very busy so we weren't expecting to get in, but the team spent some time working out comings and goings and managed to find a way to fit us in if we were happy to wait for 15 mins (which was great for us). We had Sunday roasts but the menu included other options, including some game-based options. The food turned up quickly and was good, and the portions were large. The thing that stood out most, though, was the service, which continued to be thoughtful, friendly and efficient throughout.”
“A lovely friendly gastro pub with great staff and fabulous food. Our lunch consisted of starters; Devon crab on toast and Padron peppers (both delicious); my flat iron steak was so tender, tasty and perfectly cooked and the beer battered haddock & chips was delicious too! We sat outside on comfortable bench seating (cushions provided). Good choice of wines by the glass too. The inside dining and bar areas looked inviting too. We will definitely return.”
“It is so great to have this classic pub but vegan! Everything we hade were delicious. We tried the Sunday roast (on Sunday) and the fish and chips and hot sauce cauliflower (on Friday). Notice every day they have a different menu (depends on the day). They have this great variety of beers, and the atmosphere is super fun. Can't recommend enough.”
“This has been on my list of placss to visit in Bristol and glad I did. There was a good selection of beers on tap and the bread and oil were delicious. Not the cheapest but don't mind paying for quality. A good place to people watch. Cool music as well”
“Great pub. Lovely, but small interior. Great location. Izzie behind bar was a star. Friendly place. Meals very very popular. Good ales. Definitely recommend. We will return when next in Bristol.”
“What a wonderful place to visit. From the moment we made the booking for a table until we left earlier today the whole experience was great. Easy access from the large car Park means accessibility ♿️ is great. A disabled toilet is available. The food was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed it here. We will be going back. There is a Mutt Menu so even yout best friend is catered for.”
“Very nice meat and cheeseboard and a good selection of wines. The rest of the menu looked very appealing also but great if you just want a quick bite to eat.”
“An incredibly busy Christmas weekend and Caroline and the team really held it down with grace and curiosity. Fresh food at reasonable prices.”
“What a lovely little find. Steve and Juls were just fab. Caitlin, the lady behind the bar was lovely as was the chef. Everyone had a smile and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing and very well presented. The open fire made the experience even more homely. I can guarantee it won't be too long before we return .”
“We had the most wonderful 3 day Christmas package, everything was beyond first class. From the moment we arrived on Christmas Eve we were welcomed with mulled wine, Prosecco and mince pies. Every meal we had was superbly cooked and presented, the chefs were fantastic. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay so memorable, especially Amy, who was always ready for a chat.”
“A great spot for brunch! The café is spacious with beautifully designed interiors. I had the Royale Stack, and the portion was satisfying. The dish was well-seasoned and balanced with some fresh greens. The pancakes were soft with a slight chew, and had a lovely milky flavor. Really enjoyed both the food and the coffee!”
“We liked it so much we visited twice during our stay in Bristol. The sausages are the best I've ever had; the Pork, Leek and Stilton are just sublime!”
“Delicious falafel and feta wrap, ingredients tasted very fresh and excellent customer service! Highly recommend Taka Taka.”
“We had a brilliant large family meal here to celebrate my birthday in the function room. As it was a special occasion we went for 3 courses. The restaurant quality food was absolutely superb. I had an incredible piece of hake with a beautiful mussel sauce and a delicious apple pudding which was a cross between strudel and frangipane tart. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially as we had 3 young children with us. I would heartily recommend the place and will definitely be going back.”
“Lovely little venue. Was a very good host to our large group of 14 heads. Lee the owner was very generous and new a lot about all the drinks behind the bar. Plenty of choice not just beer and ale but spirits too. Would definitely recommend !”
“Great garden to sit in when the sun is shining! Good variety of cocktails and beers available The pizza is made fresh and reasonably priced for Bristol! Outside is decorated with fairy nights which looks lovely in the evening. There’s also a few seats indoors upstairs but this fills up quickly!”
“Note: this hidden gem is on the upper floor! Food tastes like home, made with love. Service is dedicated. Atmosphere is secluded, musty, authentic, homemade. Price is twenty pounds per person for all the meals. There's a bring your own alcohol policy in place, a small charge applies - well worth it. All the people are on one long table, dishes get served A hidden gem, alternative! And it should remain hidden, a hipsters vibe - it's that good. Most importantly, effort and love have been poured into this tiny crevice, culture pouring into the guests. Additional plus - you can buy home made kimchi. Show me a better place I'll wait.”
“Great local brewery. Since the lockdown, they have stopped serving food. There is a shop to stock up on Kingstone beers and also some local ciders from local brewers. There is a glamping site and a taproom for events. The kitchen has recently been refitted, so hopefully they will serve a light lunch in the future. I had hoped for a plowman's lunch and a beer.”
“Typically, I’m not the biggest fan of hot dogs, no disrespect to sausages here but just wouldn’t be my first choice. However, I really enjoyed this sausage! It’s very tasty, especially if you take onions like I did. It was so nice to eat it while enjoying the sights of historic centre of Bath under a pleasant British summer drizzle. The guys behind the till were very friendly, too!”
