“The Beefeater Frome Flyer is in a really convenient spot, just a short walk from Gracie Barra Frome Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which makes it our go-to place to grab a bite after training. The team often pops in after classes, and it’s always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The buffet breakfast is a real highlight—great value, plenty of choice, and perfect after a tough morning session on the mats! Consistently good service, decent portion sizes, and a nice place to relax with the team after training. Highly recommend if you’re in Frome, whether for a casual meal or a post-training breakfast.”

“Very good cosy place to eat. Very quick service and the food was great and reasonably priced. My friend and I both had the mixed grill. Very good portions and very tasty. Unlimited soft drinks which you make yourself. Definitely worth a visit.”

“This was very busy, but the food was great - nothing special but very tasty and lots of it! Plenty of room both inside (with tv screens, it was match day and the footy was on) or outside on the water front, where we sat with the dogs. Great bar with lots of drinks to choose from. It was noisy and busy with the footy on, but it was all good natured bantering. You can’t go wrong here for this type of food!”

“Came with a friend for a meal. Absolutely amazing service, especially as I have a nut allergy. They walked me through the menu step by step, and when the food arrived, they even bought me separate cutlery, so I knew there was no cross contamination. Food was fantastic, and so was the atmosphere and staff. Thank you for a pleasant evening. Jess”

“Lovely Saturday night can hear everything but nice bed room clean. No toilet paper or cups and teaspoon to stir and only 2 little milks I like at least 4 cups of tea in a morning. I would stay again good old style and lovely place maybe 2-3 days next time because where they do meals were fully booked so must be good.”

“If you go here expecting Michelin Star quality food or service you will be bitterly disappointed, it doesn’t pretend to offer that either, having said that it isn’t a cheap fast food place. It does exactly what it says on the tin! Reasonable food for a reasonable price, will they forget a few things and possibly make a couple of mistakes? More than likely! But if you want a quick pit stop for a decent meal then you can’t go far wrong. The fixtures, fittings and decoration of the bar, restaurant and toilets are in desperate need of a refurb and money does need to be invested into these areas of the property to improve the customer experience. I can’t comment on the hotel side of the business as I didn’t visit it.”

“Booked a table at the Yeoman and received a booking email. When I got to the pub, no table was reserved for me; however, it was busy, so they said I could pick a window table in the lower area of the pub. The food was amazing and delivered fast to use and Tom was nice. I will be returning!”

“Went on a business trip was only there for 1night-2days..what a lovely hotel ..i stayed in the blue bell room the bed was so cosy staff were like angels so friendly and welcoming..the breakfast ,lunch & dinner tasted divine I especially enjoyed the sumptuous salmon at breakfast I think. “We returned to the Tythings after a long break only to find it just as nice as before. The food was excellent, the service first class, great atmosphere too. We met up with several friends with kids and everyone enjoyed their food too, including little fussy eaters. There's plenty of room for kids to run around without bumping into people. I even made a new friend in the queue to the bar! A great pub.”

“A quality establishment and a homage to authentic original pubs. With a large indoor seating space, pool table and bar, it gives the feeling of a local watering hole for the community as every good pub should. Reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere, what more could you ask for.”

“Breakfast - £9.99 for self-serve all you can eat and kids eat free. What's not to like? Ate here Saturday 8th April. The food was good, especially for a breakfast buffet. Decent quality with a good, herby taste to the sausage. All.of the food was hot, and even the scrambled eggs were decently cooked - hard to do when they have to stay under the lights. Good selection at the continental section or crumpets, oven-bottom muffins, bread, American pancakes, blueberry muffins / cup cakes, croissants, pain-aux-chocolat. The pastries were nicely flaky.and tasted good. Plenty of choice for cereals and fruits, including fruit salad or fresh whole fruits. Tea, including speciality teas and a bean-to-cup coffee machine all.included in the price. The place was clean, and the staff friendly. Plenty of people seemed to be enjoying their breakfast although it wasn't packed. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Unfortunately I can't say much about rooms or location, as I only entered the establishment twice this week for a course I was talking. But what i can tell you is based off of the ground floor, it Is a very nice building. A lot of charm, character and style you don't really get much of nowadays. The staff were smashing too! I may have briefly conversed with about 7 of the staff between both days. Each one as kind, friendly and well mannered as the next. One gentleman in particular, really helped a lot of us out in my course when we needed to print things off and stuff. From being in similar positions myself at work I can appreciate it may have been a pain but he was very respectful and assisted everyone. It is a shame I did not have the pleasure of attending the hotel as a room guest, as I expect I would have had a nice time. But if I am in the area again I will be sure to check it out.”
