“Really lovely little pub/hotel. Was slightly dated building so the room we had on the third floor shook when a big vehicle drove past, but the traffic died down in the evening. Was a good accomodation and would stay again. Drinks and food were good too”

“In the world of wannabe wine bars and Faux brasseries it's easy to forget places like this are around. The great British pub. The menu was vas with a board of chefs specials, the food classic British with a Whopping size Piece of fish for the fish and chips they had liver and onions on offer as well as a all day Breakfast, our food was prompt from ordering and was really good the best part being affordable. Staff were brilliant polite and friendly. Atmosphere was great also. If you want a no frills classic British pub it's a great place to visit. Will return for sure.”

“We attended the pub twice over this weekend. Friday evening with two dogs and found the staff friendly and garden pleasant. Very dog friendly. We returned on Sunday for a roast dinner and live music from a Reggae singer. The food was excellent with lots of vegetables and cooked perfectly, take aways available. The portion was good and we ate in the sunny garden. The only negative point for me was the lack of real ale in preference of Ciders and lagers. The prices had just been increased which makes drinks on the high side but there are happy hours available. We will return, especially for Sunday roasts and music.”

“Lovely drinking spot on the edge of the village. Next to the main road turning. Quality served peroni I had . And garlic butter prawns. Very tasty. A good bit of banta with the staff including the chef. I was even allowed to charge my dead phone. As I was meant to be down in the village at a wedding venue. And kneeded to let them know I was running late due to train delays. But they have a good sized carpark out back as well. Thanks guys.”

“Lovely local pub, friendly staff and Pete the landlord is a lovely chap. Although been here before, today we tried out the new menu, both our meals can out quickly and the food was tasty, looked appealing and plentiful. The drinks are one of the cheapest in the area and the outside drinking area is a open lovely spot in sun despite being on in a main road. Internally the pub is quaint with open fires in the winter. Tonight was a fun quiz which is normally run by a mad bearded character (Rob) with a dry sense of humour, fun had all round and held on Sundays and Tuesdays. We had a light snack cheesy garlic bread with gravy dip which was lovely. They do events and live music, the next is a Piratefest but they have lots of bangs on a weekend and bank holidays. Can heartily recommend a visit.”

“Absolutely disgusting. My friend and her daughter who is disabled and none verbal and a wheelchair user, which should not be relevant at all. The daughter is 25 yes old but was only drinking a J20 was asked to leave for no apparent reasons . When questioned why was told just to leave as her daughter didn’t have ID when pointed out she was drinking just J20 which is not alcoholic they were told to leave. Kind and caring people they are not. How dare they treat people this way and they need educated on human dignity and kindness.”
