“Sunday lunch at 13.00 very busy but well worth the wait. We had 2 medium carvery meals, very generous portions with a good selection of vegetables and sauces.Food was served hot from a clean servery. Drinks ordered at the table were served with a smile. The only down side was at the time it was very busy so the que for food was long. All in all it was a very experience and would recommend it. We booked a table prior.”

“This is a review of the events space (marquee). We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary in the marquee at the Swan in Swineford, September 2024. It was a great event and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had 53 guests for a three course sit down meal with welcome drinks prior to the meal, after which the tables were cleared for dancing and a DJ. We were able to discuss and tailor our menu to suit our guests and we received many compliments on the food, which was very tasty. Our family had early access to decorate the marquee with lights, table decorations and flowers which made the marquee look beautiful and created a lovely atmosphere. We were able to return the next morning to do the take-down, there was no pressure. The only strict requirements were that music had to stop by 11:00 pm (due to neighbours) and aim to have all people off site by 11:30 pm. Lee, the manager, was very approachable. He was happy to discuss our needs and was very flexible with the layout and the menu choice. We were allowed to provide our own drinks and pay corkage as well as making use of the outside pay-bar. Staff were very friendly and seemed invested in the success of the party which made it seem like a joint effort. The marquee itself is 9 meters square and has a good-sized graveled area to the side with benches which are for sole use of the function space. The marquee is set in a large garden with outside bar, children’s play area and a carpark. We would certainly recommend the swan for family and social functions. “Great local pub, friendly staff and customers. Nice garden in the summer and open fires in the winter. Multiple TVs for sport, often playing different matches on each screen so rugby and football fans welcome at the same time when matches clash. Also a large area for quieter drinking or eating without screens.”

“Went there on a wet Thursday as a last minute decision. Car park looked busy but there were a few tables left. We sat in a booth and ordered via the QR code. Drinks arrived quickly and both the salmon sizzler my wife ordered and the halloumi sizzler I ordered arrived within 20 minutes piping hot. Both of us said the food was so tasty and portion size was really good. My wife couldn’t finish her sweet potato fries. We ordered a horseshoe of onion rings which were cooked to perfection. We hadn’t been here in a few years and won’t be leaving it as long before we go back. The only down side is there aren’t really that many vegetarian dishes to choose from. One or two more would be appreciated”

“Recently re-opened pub that has 2 bars that show sport on tv. There are a couple of pool tables in the bigger sports bar and steps up to the skittle alley. Live music was being held the Saturday that I visited. Also great that there is a car park for those visiting from a distance.”

“Had a 3RTR Cambrai celebration meal. First time here, food was excellent, so was the service can not fault it. The bathrooms were fresh and clean. Carparking was plentiful, except a very sharp turn into it and quite steep.”

“Had a roast here today. Everything tasted great! Was even better to have everything on the same plate and not as an accompaniment to share with others. Beef was cooked well, roast potatoes were great and the atmosphere of the bar was good and the staff were great. Would definitely go here again!”

“I visited this establishment recently as I heard they have just released a Normal Beer Lager. I have a very rare and secretive dietary requirement and I am only able to drink normal beer. For too long now, I have remained in the shadows unable to drink unnormal beer but now thanks to KSBH I can be normal like my peers and enjoy a Normal Beer. Crisp and delicious and at 3.4% it is the ideal session lager without the negative repercussions an unnormal beer would give me. If you're wondering what my rare dietary requirement is maybe mind your own business, yeah?”

“Out Saturday day drinking for a hen do. Was there from 6pm till 9pm. We sat outside on a sofa, with the DJ playing under the gazebo. Great music, Great atmosphere, the place was buzzing. Staff are friendly, served drinks to your table, cleared up quickly to remove those empty glasses. Had a great time drinking, chilling to the music and chatting.”

“After scouring Bath for live music for NYE and failing miserably we ended up at the Devonshire Arms. A bit of a locals pub but we were accepted and greater whole heartedly. Live music was good fun although they certainly won't be going pro anytime soon! Good beer and a bit of a spread put on for NYE. Landlord made us feel very welcome and even apologised for charging us entry! Made some new friends and had a throughly enjoyable time. Would recommend!”

“We have always wanted to try this pub, as we have lived in Bath for over a year now. We came in Saturday and asked about their Sunday roast, and how the cauliflower cheese was done. Daniel said “I’ll show you” he then went into the kitchen and made his home made Yorkshire pudding and a pot of cauliflower cheese, as a taster. This was amazing, so we came back for the roast on Sunday and wasn’t disappointed the size of the plate and food was fantastic. They also put the Women’s Rugby on for us, which was a bonus. Lovely place, with friendly staff and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.”
