Had a fantastic spot of lunch here a few weeks ago. The place was nice and clean and very well laid out. Service and food were both excellent and the manager, Craig, was helpful and cheery

Thought we'd visit following the refurb, pub looks really smart and welcoming. Great new menu, so much to choose from.. I had steak sandwich and partner had tandoori skewer, both very enjoyable meals and good value. Shout out to Georgine who served us. Great customer service with a smile. We look forward to coming back!

My cousins took me to this pub mainly to see the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The day was sunny and breezy. We entered not long after the business opened. We were greeted by staff and requested to sit outside. We sat on the upper back deck due to the wind. The scenery was stunning. I had a gin drink and macaroni and cheese. Both were very good. I hope to visit this establishment on my next trip to Bristol.

Had a 3RTR Cambrai celebration meal. First time here, food was excellent, so was the service can not fault it. The bathrooms were fresh and clean. Carparking was plentiful, except a very sharp turn into it and quite steep.

Booked the table in advance online and received an email reminder shortly before the visit. The White Lion is set in a beautiful location, and we parked opposite by a small green. None of the stupid registration business - simply free parking. WOW .. What a lovely place to visit ... The pub was warm and welcoming, helped by the wonderful Christmas decorations. The windows especially looked fab. The staff were friendly and quickly saw us to our table .. We opted for table service, and it wasn't long before we were enjoying our drinks choosing from their mouthwatering menu. The food was top notch .... The roast dinner was a proper plate full and the pie incredible ... What a pie ! .... Will be going back for that alone :o) I hope the photos do justice ... Unfortunately, the desserts were so tempting that I forgot to take a photo prior to tucking in ... So just imagine that blackberry and apple crumble as a whole round tart ( Not some skimpy slice you get elsewhere !! ) ... It literally melted in your mouth ! Yummy ! Highly recommend a visit - ( approx £13 - £14 main / £5.80 dessert ) - We will be back :o)

Had the most wonderful family dinner here. A true local pub. Good ale selection up for grabs and with their cask ale offer you absolutely cannot beat the prices The food was served in good time. Served hot and everyone enjoyed their meals. We even stayed for dessert, enjoying the Eton mess. Fresh fruit and cream was really tasty. 2 for £10 on cocktails was enjoyed all round. Would highly recommend this pub for anyone after a good meal

What a gem tucked away. We found ourselves in a quaint little village and stumbled across the white lion. Deciding to have lunch there and give it a try. With a gentle warmth and welcoming staff it was all off to a great start. We ordered at the bar, the bar staff were very attentive and asked if we had allergies, which in this day and age is more important than most realise. Cutlery was brought to the table, shortly followed by our meals. My sea bass was to die for. Served with steaming hot potatoes and sauce. If we had the time we would’ve stayed for dessert as the food was truly delicious. The only thing I would say is this pub needs to be more sign posted! Had we not taken a stroll through the village per chance we wouldn’t have known it was there. There are no signs in the village or near by to indicate it’s existence and there aren’t many signs out side the pub to notify customers either.

Horrendous. Cold bread, cold meat, crisps instead of chips? The beef could of been off, it smelt very strong. I have lived in Westbury for 30 years and this place has never been so bad. Ember inns really need to invest in this place.

Good service but the roast dinner was disappointing. Served luke warm, roast beef was too tough to eat, potatoes undercooked, as were the carrots. The Yorkshire pudding, peas and parsnips were ok. A pity as this could be my local. Hope the feedback is noted and addressed.

A very mixed experience. Visit was at about 2pm. I think negative first..the app for ordering didn't work for me. We asked for an umbrella for the table to shade a new born..this wasn't availabe. My daughter wanted a cup of tea outside but was told it was only available inside..so we went inside but no hot drinks were being served. Positives..the food we ordered came quickly and was very good. Joe was a very attentive member of staff. A great location. The negatives are so easy to fix.
