Have been coming here almost every week for live jazz for around a year now - we almost never miss it! Fabulous place with wonderful service, excellent staff, a welcoming and chill atmosphere, and a good selection of drinks and food. Bring my friends and family here when they’re in town and they’re always blown away by the place! One of the best bars that Fishponds has to offer - highly recommend!

I suppose as Fishponds grows and evolves we have to expect that the bustling vibrant community will attract people from all walks of life. The good, the bad and the ugly.(reading the last couple of reviews) As a recent, new patron of Grounded, I can wholeheartedly confirm that this is the most welcoming and inviting space available to a family in Fishponds. We have lived within a kilometer of the place for the last 5 years but having just had two children (now 5 and 3 years old) we have not had the chance until recently to check it out as our nights off are rare. We have now exited baby town and have started venturing out and it has come as a wonderful and welcome addition to our list of venues/locations that are even suitable and willing to put up with the 5 of us (dogs also welcome!). Our kids run free range and love the place and go totally ballistic in the oldschool tree house play area at the back. Ben and his team are brilliant and work round the clock to bring something truly unique to Fishponds. From live gigs to halloween raves to free weekly lego clubs for kids. This sounds like I'm sponsored. I'm not. Im just sick to the back teeth with paying £16 for fried eggs on toast and £6.50 for a pint of larger. These guys are offering something way better. Highly recommend :)

Fabulous breakfast and so many options. I had asparagus, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, with rocket and balsamic vinegar. So many delicious things all in one breakfast

So glad we decided to detour to Fishponds and find Grounded for breakfast! Delicious fresh food served by a friendly, welcoming staff and topped off with good coffee. The venue itself is quirky and inviting.....great place to start your day !

I was looking for a space to work for a morning. Grounded staff were welcoming, the music was chilled, the coffee was delicious and the vegan breakfast was varied and hearty. I didn't want to leave.

It's a shame that this place has gone downhill so much! It's a big place and could be a thriving café but there is no atmosphere and the food is really bad these days. They can't even get a toasted tea cake right. Mine came out cold, was so dry and like a brick. I was scared to eat it in case my tooth broke! It's never a good sign either when plates of uneaten food are left behind on the tables. But there's was no wonder why when you look at it. They had run out of diet coke and earl grey tea, so my friend settled for tap water! My friend had the shakshuka and she said it lacked any flavour. The staff don't seem that bothered by you being there. There is no friendly welcome when you enter and no goodbye. They don't ask if the food is OK either. The only good points are that the coffee is very nice and the outside bit at the back is a suntrap and has a wooden play house for younger kids. Unfortunately, I don't think I will go back which is a shame as I want to support local businesses, but I would rather spend my money elsewhere. :(

Ok but we went on a Tuesday and were not aware that it was quiz night and it ruined because we were sat right by the speaker and quiz host so could not hear ourselves over the noise. They had run out of chicken, gluten free pasta and had labelled the pudding wrong so it was totally different to what was ordered.

It's always nice to find somewhere that has gluten free food, especially cakes! We just ordered a few snacks but everything came quickly. The staff were really nice and friendly, they also turned the music down for us when we asked as our friend with ADHD was struggling with background noise. Overall the place was nice ,clean and a great place to meet up for a coffee.

Absolutely fantastic place. Went in the early afternoon the other day and the server, James, went absolutely above and beyond. Friendly, helpful, very kind! Service like that creates lifelong customers and I’ll definitely be going back!! The food was also delicious, with every effort being made to accommodate my friend’s dietary requirements and answer all her questions about the menu. Made for a perfect afternoon!
