“A Boozer for the serious Cider drinker. Spit & sawdust pub. No frills. Friendly Pub. Locals make you feel welcome. Bar Staff great. £2.75 for Cheddar Valley which was a really great pint and I do mean that. Will go back for more.”

“Busy Hungry Horse, Greene King Pub. There was plenty of space at 4 pm on a Friday and loads of choice. 5 adult meals and two childrens meals for £82 including a drink.”

“This weekend I went to into the woods festival with two of my mates was having a bit of food when I realised I couldn’t check in until 2pm a huge mistake on my behalf and I called the hotel in distress they kindly allowed me to drop my stuff off and have a showe 2 and a half hours before I was meant to arrive with no extra charge the room was perfect for the three of us and no noise distribution. I rarely leave reviews but this is one of the kindest encounters I have ever had and would like to thank everyone at the kings head couldn’t recommend enough hopefully will see you again next year! Unfortunately I am not able to leave a review for my room on booking.com so had to do it here.”

“⭐ A Hidden Gem with Heart and Hospitality ⭐ From the moment I rang ahead, I was impressed—the young man I spoke to was incredibly polite and well-informed, setting the tone for a lovely visit. On arrival, we were greeted by a charming young lady at the bar who couldn’t have been more welcoming. She confirmed we were welcome to stay overnight in the car park free of charge, and even offered an electric hook-up (which we didn’t need, so I didn’t ask about the cost). The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, hearty, and full of flavour—and the drinks menu had something for everyone. To top it all off, there was an open mic session that evening, which was a real treat. Great atmosphere, great people, and a genuinely memorable night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food, good vibes, and a warm welcome.”

“An absolutely beautiful pub with outstanding food, which is reasonably priced. The kids menu is very good too and our 3 year old granddaughter also enjoyed her meal. The staff were extremely accommodating as we arrived for our reservation early, on the hottest day of the year, with an extremely hot and hungry granddaughter. Which we were very thankful for! Will definitely visit again and possibly try out the carvery on a Sunday.”

“Went to the little harp on Friday night last week. I was served by Georgia on the bar and Maggie, they were very friendly and welcoming. Georgia was very quick on the bar and Maggie got us the perfect table with a view! I had the cod and chips and it was outstanding. Will definitely be back. Big praises to the women that made us feel very welcome.”

“Kaylea and Beth were very attentive and gave my partner and myself a very warm welcome when entering the pub. Their knowledge of what drinks suited which meal was very impressive. Large glass of red wine for a steak, and a pint of san Miguel to go with a burger. With myself also working in the trade that’s some great upselling to a premium product! “Impressive façade for a Spoons, was quite busy but managed to get a table and my burger which I ordered via the app arrived in 10 mins and was great value. Would recommend if you like a Spoons.”

“The George has had a much needed make over. Food is good quality. Staff are friendly and polite. Its clean and welcoming. The letting rooms are currently still being refurbished but should be ready in the New year. “I came in to pret today just to grab a coffee and some food after a very...very long week. I don't usually treat myself to nice fresh coffee but why not?. The coffee was delicious i opted for a iced latte which very much complemented the warm day. Although the sun made me smile it was the manager working who made my day just the little bit more special. I believe her name was Chloe and she was an absolute delight. She took the time just to ask me how my day was and if i had any plans and was super lovely to me. I was feeling a little hungry so i wanted to get a pastry. I asked her what her favorite was to which she replied the blueberry muffin and i have to say chloe....YOU WERE SPOT ON!!!. It was really amazing to have been served but such a lovely young lady. She clearly puts a lot of love into that shop and pret are lucky to have someone as polite and talented as her. Cant say the same for most places but i definitely think im going to come back to this place more often. Thank you for your service Chloe and have a fantastic weekend”

“We visited Tapas Revolution for a 15th Anniversary. We were greeted with A great host and top service by all the staff. All the staff worked incredibly well together and nothing was too much trouble. We were interested to find out that 95% of the food was prepared fresh in house (very refreshing in this day and age) the food was outstanding fresh and had us wondering what dish we could go for next. “Lovely pub with big garden and lots of tables. Home cooked food and the landlord is friendly. Beautiful spot on the river to watch the boats go by. We were really surprised how quiet it was when we visited. Prices very good so we will definitely be back.”
