   The food was decent but not worth the high prices. Although the service was friendly, the staff could not understand the French pronunciation of the dishes, which felt out of place for a French restaurant. The restaurant was nearly empty.

   Couldn’t recommend more highly. We celebrated my mums 70th here, and they couldn’t have done more to make the evening special. Food was outstanding (chateaubriand steak was to die for), the wine recommendations were brilliant, and staff warm & entertaining. 5* for sure.

   Main course and wine was really good when it arrived. Service was very slow (circa 3 hours for 2 courses) and dessert okay- apple tarte tatin had melted Brie on top? Wasn’t mentioned or explained so quite confusing on the senses. Overall okay but won’t return when there is so much choice of high quality restaurants in Cheltenham.

   We ordered the chicken liver parfait as a starter and the bread came with mould on it which was acknowledged by the waiter so we left the restaurant

   Served me mouldy bread. I was sick tonight. Staff claimed the mould was a fibre from from a cloth. I asked for the waitress to bring me the cloth and it was a white dishcloth. The mould was a green spore. When I asked for the bread so it could be independently tested they brought me a different piece of bread. Waiter acknowledged he picked up wrong bit. Manager super anxious and defensive about the whole situation and wanted me off restaurant floor. Mistakes happen but how they handled it was a problem and is concerning. Manager did not want me discussing it with waiter and shut me down at every opportunity. Eat at your peril and best of luck if there’s a problem

   There for a lit Fest talk on fashion. Prosecco offered...... disgusting, but not Du Vin fault. However, those who arrived early were guided downstairs but the nibbles were only available upstairs...nothing downstairs. Very badly organised and service at the upstairs bar was one young girl who was pathetically slow and didn't seem to know what she was doing... usually happy with Du Vin, not today and have a feeling this is the future.
