A delightful small, independent French restaurant specialising in cheeses. We booked after being recommended it and we were not disappointed! The ambience was cosy and had nice chatter. Steph and her team were very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the cheeses and rest of the menu. The cheese souffle starter was so tasty, the souffle itself was light, a definite star dish. The camembert bites were also lovely. My partner enjoyed his cheeseburger and said the chunky chips were some of the best he's had. Steph was very accommodating in making up off menu cocktails and a mixed cheese and charcuterie board with half baguette for one. As the photo shows, this was very generous board with grapes, dried prunes and apricot, huge caper berries, and plenty of meats and cheeses including a local soft cheese. My fave were goats cheese in Ash rind and brie like cheese with a garlic layer, such distinctive flavours. We didn't fit in dessert but the tarte tatin special looked great. I highly recommend this for lunch or dinner, rather than the usual chains. We'll be back when we next visit Cheltenham!

This is one of our favourite places in Cheltenham - we plan our trip around going here. The owner is lovely, super helpful and knowledgeable. She also spoils our dog with cheese! The cheese and charcuterie board is what we always get and we always love it. Wine is lovely too. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Went for dinner for my birthday last night and everything was fantastic. Some lovely extra touches from the restaurant that show they really care, and delicious food. The cheese spreadaboard is definitely a top menu choice.

I recently attended one of Domaine 16’s Cheese Club nights in Cheltenham, and it was a delightful experience. Largely thanks to Stephanie, the knowledgeable and passionate owner. With her French roots and a deep background in food and wine from her training in Paris and experience at Michelin-star venues, she brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. As the night progressed, Stephanie took us on an excursion through five exquisite cheeses, each she had paired with thoughtfully selected wines. Her detailed explanations about the cheese origins, textures and cheese making processes was great. The explanations of her thinking behind the carefully chosen pairings made sure that the evening was not just enjoyable but educational. The setting for the evening was all thirteen attendees seated around a single long table. When I first arrived I thought I would struggle with this, as I am socially awkward. Once the event started, the evening quickly took on a cosy and engaging atmosphere and I was able to relax into it. Stephanie’s recommendations to try the cheeses with a variety of breads, butter, and accompaniments as the evening progresses are worth following. Across all five cheeses and wines she didn’t take a mis-step all night in my opinion, they all worked well and opened up something about each player in the pairings. Stephanie’s vision for Domaine 16 is to bring people together to enjoy the timeless pairing of cheese and wine, and she certainly achieved it the night I attended Cheese Club. The regular menu and wine list look amazing, and there are so many delicious ways to enjoy cheese here. If you’re looking for a fun way to expand your knowledge definitely sign up for a Cheese Club. If you simply want to enjoy a fantastic cheese and wine experience, Domaine 16 is a must-visit in Cheltenham.

We tried Domaine16 for their Bottomless Raclette. It’s safe to say I definitely over indulged… The new potatoes were absolutely delicious on their own, let alone with melted cheese on top. The meats and pickles on the charcuterie board was also really tasty. We had a side of baguette and even that was delicious. Service was impeccable and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We finished with the chocolate fondue which was also delicious.

Paid around £35 for a pot of cheese between two, which was less than half full - prob a third full - not enough for the bread and potatoes and definitely not enough for a charcuterie board. They also have no olive oil/balsamic vinegar for dipping, if you run out of cheese so we were basically just eating dry bread and meat at the end. The food was gorgeous, it was just very poor value for money. You should have enough fondue for all your food. Fondue places usually get the balance right and for the money you pay they could definitely give you more than you get.

SO... I don't write many reviews however, I HAD to write this one. Domain 16, in terms of staff, atmosphere, and of course, the food, is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I've been to france many times, and the food in Domaine 16 beats everywhere I've eaten at in France from memory. I wish your company nothing but success moving forward, phenomenal job. You've got my business, I will be a returning customer, I will bring friends and family to you, and will do nothing but sing your praises. PS for whomever reads this, if you love cheese or know someone who does, you're doing yourself/them a disservice by not going here.

Let’s start off by saying it’s dog friendly! We have been here twice with our little pup for their cheese and meat boards. Some of the best charcuterie and cheese selections we have ever had. The waitress was very knowledgable and even customised our cheese board to the style/type of cheeses we liked and left off the ones we didn’t like (like blue or goats cheese). They have other foods as well and they even do an “all you can eat” raclette on Tuesdays. Great wine selection to pair with your food.

Amazing food and service, plus dog friendly (just let them know in advance)! Wish I could have eaten everything on the menu, the fondue and starter plates that we did have were absolutely amazing. Would strongly recommend!

If you love cheese, you'll love Domaine 16! The owner seems like she really loves her job and what an excellent job she does - her cheese selection is top notch and the staff were all welcoming and lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and very personal; like visiting a friend you haven't seen in a while
