Really great atmosphere - the chef Steve has an amazing personality and his food has really turned the pub around the last few months. Our waitress Meg was incredibly helpful and provided quick, well done service. Overall they made the experience really great. Would definitely come back

Came to the Red Lion last wednesday and have got to say that our server, Megan, absolutely made our visit :) She was incredibly warm and attentive - plus kept things fun! Made us feel super welcomed Good food and atmosphere overall!

I stayed here overnight in my RomaHome under the Britstops scheme. You pay a small annual subscription to Britstops and can stay at any one of hundreds of different locations. I chose The Red Lion because it was en route to a festival I was going to. The pub is in a small, attractive village near Warwick in the Midlands. I parked up and had a meal in the pub. You don't have to but the business appreciates it if you do. The staff were welcoming and helpful, offering advice as to where I could walk my dog and refilling my water container for me; the food was very well prepared and tasty, if a little on the pricey side. I would recommend a visit.

Came with a friend for a meal. Absolutely amazing service, especially as I have a nut allergy. They walked me through the menu step by step, and when the food arrived, they even bought me separate cutlery, so I knew there was no cross contamination. Food was fantastic, and so was the atmosphere and staff. Thank you for a pleasant evening. Jess

Not one of my favourite venues but popular locally and serves food over the usual dining times. As a nerdy beer drinker, I'm fussy with my choice of ale. Only one of two pumps available, and that serving the ubiquitous Doombar - not on my all-time Top 20. The place is looking shabby, as estate pubs tend to get, as the Corporate Accounts Department maximise profits for the benefit of shareholders.

This is our local. If I could sum up the Red Lion in 1 word, it would be unreliable. We have gone so many times and the kitchen is not open. I frequently call now before going to confirm they’re doing food. Last night was a new one: despite not being busy, and lots of tables available - they don’t allow walk ins of 6 or more people. The bar man confirmed with the chef and it was a no. I have never heard of this rule before and when you call, it’s never mentioned. Normally with a venue it’s due to seats / tables but in this case there was a table for 8 available, the reason seemed to be due to the chef. So we went to The Crosskeys instead who catered for us no problem. When the Red Lion serves you food, it’s really nice - the options and food is great, but getting food is more challenging than it needs to be. You could really increase your profit by being more consistent / accommodating. Have set times for food and stick to them and if you have space for groups for walk-ins, consider taking them like other venues do.

We popped into the pub back in Dec for a quick drink and to catch the Cup Final, we thought the pub was nice, friendly and had a good vibe. Decided to come back for food as it had looked nice when we saw others eating previously. Whilst the food was tasty and well cooked we (2 adlults) were seated in the family area and parents were allowing their children to run around and play and generally be annoying to other diners, then the parents were loudly telling the children off but not getting them to sit at the table. The area we sat in was so cold also, we were sat by a radiator too! The staff did look run off their feet, only saw 3 members of staff and tables were slow in being cleared and cleaned. In conclusion whilst it was friendly and the food nice we won't be returning.

It's been a while since my last visit and this time round the full menu was back on. There was a good selection on the menu for the whole family. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection and at a very good price. Ordering was easy, either app or walk to the bar. Food came out hot and in good time. All staff working on my visit were polite and friendly and appeared happy, ive been in some restaurants recently and the staff have been miserable, so seeing a happy face was nice.
