The atmosphere left quite a lot to be desired, with the service was equally disappointing with no table service and few staff at the bar which meant queuing up, for both the food and drinks, for quite some time. Also, the attitude of one waiter in particular made me feel that I was an inconvenience, his demeanour was bordering on rudeness! That being said, I must admit that the food was nice and good value, with the rump steak worth mentioning as being very good. All in all though, I won't be rushing to return, such a pity that the service was let down by a lack of staff and poor customer service.

We stopped for breakfast after we stayed at the Premier Inn next door. The value is good and the quality of food for a buffet is excellent - the only downfall was a lady dumping new scrambled egg on top of the old, without putting the old on top of even attempting to mix in the old. The staff are really pleasant and accommodating. Would happily come again. The fact that kids eat free for breakfast (at the time of writing this) is excellent, because our boy could not choose between a cooked breakfast or continental, but because he could eat for free, the staff allowed him to pick and choose from both.

Went with a friend for breakfast today. What a wonderful treat. Opted for the full breakfast option and whilst we waited we had cereal and fruit. Food was absolutely delicious and our lovely waitress Gwen brought me my GF toast with it. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money and will definitely be back again.

Tracey runs such fantastic toddler mornings. The most welcoming group that offers so much fun! Always such a great variety of crafts, paints, sticking etc. Also play-doh, puzzles, tuff tray set ups, and ball games. Tracey interacts with the children getting to know them personally and takes such pride and care on the activities set up. There has been such an improvement to the overall cleanliness of the play area, and we love coming!…Bonus, you can get an all you can eat breakfast, refillable hot drinks, and two children eat for free during the session!

Staff were friendly, service was slow and food was basic and average. We had fish and chips, which was OK, but felt like it had been sitting for a while. Wife had smothered chicken... Again average... Not bad, not good. Kids had pigs in blankets and chicken nuggs... Again band average. Plus they had two desserts 'pancakes' plural and bannans with choc... It was OK, but only came with one cut up pancake, not more. With two beers and kids drinks it cost £53...ouch. Not good value for money with a pip organic costing 2.50! If Whetherspoons is open, go there instead! Better quality (most of the time) and definitely cheaper even with the recent price rises.

Haven't been for years as children now all teenagers ... Sorry to say nothing has improved. Understaffed ( the poor guy serving on the till was obviously working as quickly as he could). Took over 40 mins for our food to arrive. When food arrived part of a couple of the dishes was missing... Tiny piece of bacon on one dish .. burnt chicken that was replaced with a questionable replacement piece... Cold sausages, raw " onion" rings that appeared to be missing the actual onion.. Couldn't fault the young lady who sorted us free deserts...but when you can hear other tables complaints too not good. We won't be back in a hurry... Certainly wasn't worth the money. Only giving 2 stars not 1 due to the desert

We went out for a family meal four adults and two children. We had to wait for 50 minutes to receive all our meals. We had two meals first by the time rest had received theirs, the first two had finished their meals. The food was fine but no explanation as to why our food took so long.

Food was very nice, took a little while to be served. Wouldn't recommend the hot chocolate, however the staff were kind and swapped it for a coke instead. They do have a play area for children here. You can eat in the room where there is a play area but it is very cold in there. If your eating in the restaurant whilst the kids play, there are monitors showing the play area so you can keep an eye, however one of the cameras wasn't working which was a shame. I did really like that the play area was suitable for a 3 year old. Some play areas are really big and they are not quite tall enough to climb but this play area was perfect.

Waited to be shown to our table for around 15 minutes! Booked table for 6 adults 3 children, but shown to two separate tables, after complaining showed us to a table they said was reserved for us but full of dirty plates & glasses which they then cleaned but table was still really sticky and unclean, floor was absolutely disgusting with food everywhere! We ordered 2 carvery meals which they said were sold out, both the starter and main were sold out that was ordered by one of our party, it took well over an hour from arriving for our starters to arrive, then the main courses were ages later, the medium steak ordered was very well done and both medium rares ordered were medium at best. We will not be returning as the whole experience was very disappointing to say the least and the state of the tables and floor was absolutely disgusting and completely unhygienic, maybe health and safety should pay a visit!

I couldn't fault the food but as you can see in the pictures provided the place is an absolute dump The seats were disgusting with ripped coverings and were filthy and the tables are sticky, the decor is tattered, curtains are removed from conservatory for obvious reasons. Some of the chairs have had temporary covers put on them so they must be aware of how bad it is. Shame really because we came here 6 years ago and thought it was superb. Like I said can't fault the food but my God how dirty is it
