Absolutely amazing place and hostess. If you need a quiet retreat and would like to try a "taste of Japan" this is the right place. Mami is the loveliest host you've ever met and the breakfast was exactly what was needed after a Xmas market trip the day before. All in all, a definite "must come back"!
We spent 1 night at Zenhouse. Out host was very accommodating, the room is cosy and we had a very good breakfast with vegan option ! The place is a bit far from the city center but it's easy to park in the neighbourhood. Thank you for this very nice stay !
Clean and tidy, great host, fantastic Japanese breakfast of Rice and Miso. Easy to deal with, flexible. What all B&B experiences should be like. Perfect place to stay if going to Bath races, 5mins in a taxi.
Mami is such a fabulous hostess and nothing was too much. She is a genuine person, warm hearted and very attentive. The room was spacious and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. The Japanese breakfast was an added bonus and we enjoyed it very much. We will definitely stay here again if we travel to Bath in the future.
Wonderfully peaceful, comfortable and attentive B&B with a surprisingly welcome Japanese influence. Being offered a Japanese style breakfast option, I grabbed the opportunity and was not disappointed. I have now returned and Zen is now a favoured BnB in Bath, run by the ever attentive and professional Mami. Worth a visit if in the Bath area as a relaxing alternative to the the usual Bath hustle and bustle.
Absolutely lovely host, Mami was so accommodating and even after requesting a fan, she was able to find one as it would have been absolutely awful in this heat wave the UK has had. Location was perfect, lots of parking space too. The decor of the house was lovely and very traditional. The room had a private bathroom, everything had its place. Toiletries provided were bamboo toothbrushes and bottle of hair products and shower gel. There was no TV in the room which was the lovely, no distractions. For dinner we went out to the local gastro pub which was lovely. The view from the room into the back garden was pretty. Breakfast was catered to for dietary requirements and consisted of traditional Japanese food along with tea and coffee and a lovely view of the back garden. Only thing I would suggest is a list of recommendations or brochures of local places for eating or walks etc to help visitors out. Would def return. Thank you Mami for a lovely stay.
I enjoyed every second of my stay at the Zen House Bath. I felt very comfortable and at home. The host of the air bnb Mami, is very friendly and she made sure everything was ok. Breakfast times were flexible and the house was always so clean and tidy. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. With a comfy bed and a place to feel safe, I will definitely be returning.
