We had a fabulous stay at the Northey Arms. The rooms were lovely and really well-equipped. Super comfortable bed - had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was amazing and it was great we had until 12 to eat - we were able to pop and do parkrun and come back for breakfast....not normally able to do that! The staff were all lovely and super helpful. I am sure we will be back next time we come to Bath. Thank you!

We stayed at The Northey Arms in Box for one night and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious — such a nice touch. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and later moved to the bar, where we had some excellent drinks in a cosy atmosphere. Breakfast was included, so before leaving we treated ourselves to a lovely meal from the menu — everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully served. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and I would happily return. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay in a family room which was very comfy and relaxing for us all. The non standard layout provided lots of space and it was decorated to fit the character of the pub and period. All staff were very approachable and friendly for the entire stay.

My husband and I had a lovely 2-night stay. What struck us most was how brilliant all of your staff are, from the guy who checked us in, to the women who ran the breakfast service - very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts by the way are great; the poached eggs were cooked beautifully! We left our car parked and used the bus to travel in and out of Bath which was a lot easier as the bus stop is directly opposite the pub and return tickets cost £5 each. The room was nicely furnished and we had a good night’s sleep in those comfy beds. We especially liked the DAB radio set up and playing as we entered; we used this during our stay. The room did get warm but we were able to turn the radiator down and open a window for fresh air. One morning we did wake to the beer casks being rolled around, changing the empties and presumably racking new ones - a little noisy but to be expected when you stay at an inn!

Lovely rooms and great food! I stayed one night for my mother's birthday and we had a lovely time. The rooms where nice, clean and cozy with a lovely british vibe, when we checked in there was music playing in the room which was a nice touch. I loved the decor of our rooms and both dinner and breakfast were very good. We played some board games at the pub after dinner as well, and this was a peferct location to explore the Cotswolds. Would definitely come back and reccomend!

Just went to lunch with a friend what food we had was very nice, very limited menu, only a choice of 4 meals and 4 desserts, haven't been since pre covid but the menu was much more extensive then, staff very friendly but only one person on So not good service, there was a long wait after we had finished our meal, even then we had to attract his attention and ask if we could have a dessert. Not the staff members fault he was trying to serve at the bar as well as taking food orders and delivering to table. It wasn't very busy at all. But still logistically a lot for one to manage and be able to give good service.

Lovely place, foods good and staff lovely. Unfortunately when visited for a Sunday roast today with family a child was running around past us all over the restaurant for about an hour which was really distracting and annoying! Should be rule about unruly children running around at a nice place when trying to enjoy a lovely meal. Effected our experience here which is a shame which takes a star off. I do recommend apart from that :) Thank you

First time here and was blown away by the food! I had fishcakes and they were delicious, came with a poached egg which I though was different, and a mango curry sauce, yummy! Surprised there were only a few people in on a Saturday, would very much recommend

I organised a big family lunch recently and chose the Northey Arms to host this event. The staff were brilliant. Very attentive but also kept in the background and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone loved the food particularly the vegans amongst the group. The outside area made it perfect for the kids to run around and to get fresh air when needed. A few of us went back for breakfast the next day. Would highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised with the decor and food.it looks like an old stately home from outside but expected to find a modern interior not in keeping with the facade however on entering, it is nice and open and spacious with the tables and chairs nicely spaced out. We sat in the bar area in a window alcove which was lovely. There is a separate restaurant if you prefer. Nice wooden floors with wooden tables and chairs. Had a nice relaxing ambience. We had a couple of coffees followed by a salad consisting of black pudding, bacon, new potatoes and kale with a tasty dressing which finished it off perfectly and chose the option of paying extra to have a free range poached egg on the top. We also shared a plant based lamb kebab alternative ( no lamb) and it was spicy but not hot and the flavours were amazing. It really didn't matter that there was no lamb! We accompanied this with a glass of apple and ginger and a mock gin and tonic both which were very flavoursome and no alcohol in sight. Will definitely be going back to sample some more delights from the menu
