   We’ve been loyal customers of this takeaway for many years, but sadly, the quality has noticeably declined. Gone are the days when the food was consistently tasty, well-prepared, and offered good portions of meat. Since around August 2025, we’ve seen a significant change. The chicken in the Chow Mein—if there’s any at all—is now so dry. The Chicken Curry might as well be called Mushroom Curry, and the Chicken Wings have become so tiny that it’s surprising a reputable takeaway would serve them. We ordered again last night and were very disappointed, as it’s clear that both the chef and cost-saving measures have changed the overall standard. I truly hope The Oriental takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to return to the quality we once loved. We’ll give it one more try because of our many years of loyalty, but we do hope things turn around soon.

   My go-to for many years now. Recently however, pricing isn’t very transparent as all the menus are old and the prices are crossed out with a notice stating prices have increased due to ‘inflation’. Which would normally be fine, but when ordering for example a lamb or prawn chow mein you’re getting a noticeably reduced portion of meat in these dishes compared to before. Increasing prices but decreasing portions of meat = bigger profit margins :)

   **Excellent Service and Delicious Food!** I’ve been a regular customer at this Chinese takeaway shop for a while now, and one of the main reasons is the outstanding service provided by the little boy behind the counter ,Every time I visit, they greet me with a warm smile and a friendly attitude. They are always professional, patient, and helpful, especially when it comes to recommending dishes or adjusting orders to my preferences. What really stands out is their attention to detail. They ensure that my order is always accurate, and the food is packaged neatly and securely, keeping it hot and fresh. Even during busy times, they handle the rush with efficiency and grace, never letting the quality of their service slip. Their dedication and positive attitude truly make the experience more enjoyable. I can always count on them for a great meal and exceptional customer service. Highly recommended!

   Happen to be passing through Luton and my wife was craving some Chinese. Got the chicken chow mein, beef chow mein and veg spring rolls. Asked it to be extra spicy and they definitely delivered. Food was clean and fresh. Tasted delicious and was a very good price. Would definitely go back if I'm in Luton again. 9/10 highly recommend
