The food was good. We had the set menu which included the chicken Green Curry. Also had the prawn tempura as a side. The chicken wasn’t soft but stringy. The service was good but they asked us if we wanted dessert straight after the main so it seemed a bit rushed . Perhaps they had another booking after , I’m not sure. Otherwise ok. The single tables are close to the bigger tables . For the coffee I ordered they gave a long life tiny carton milk where I would think in this establishment they would have provided fresh milk.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years. We used to live in Thailand so know what is authentic Thai cuisine or not. Bua Thai always delivers in terms of authentic, great Thai food at a good price. The staff are also really lovely and service is great. Their takeaway service is equally prompt and good quality. We don’t go to any other Thai restaurant in St Albans as a result!

A cosy Thai restaurant with tasty food and a good selection at reasonable prices. The Panang curry was delicious, the noodles were good, and the Weeping Tiger came with a lovely sauce. Presentation was neat, and with a hygiene rating of 4, the food tasted fresh and clean. The decor is lovely but the tables are quite close together and the chairs could use a clean. The restaurant felt stuffy when you walk in and needed some fresh air. It’s also a busy spot with lots of takeaway orders, which means people are constantly coming in and out and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. Service was very slow, with just under an hour’s wait for our food - more staff are definitely needed. That said, the staff who were there were friendly and polite throughout.

Unassuming on the outside but amazing authentic Thai food inside. Reasonably priced, generous portions and ingredients and true, fragrant spice to the food. Highly recommend the jungle curry and the duck salad - flavourful and fresh. It is a small venue so if in large group I would recommend to book a table in advance. Corkage fee for BYO. Staff are friendly and attentive

Spontaneously decided to drop in for “dinner for one”, since my dinner date had to stay home. The food was amazing and very authentic and probably the best Thai food I’ve had in a restaurant outside of Thailand. It’s made with love and there is no holding back with flavor and portion sizes. It makes the experience even better because they are truly there to serve good food and fill you up! I ordered the stuffed chicken wings and an order of the glazed ribs as a starter and for main I ordered spicy noodles with prawn. I was also served a basket with shrimp crackers and some chili oil and that was a nice touch. The service was very very good and I will definitely be returning next time I visit St.Albans! I brought some Tom Ga Kai back home for the sick husband and he really enjoyed it piping hot as it came. Thank you and please don’t change much till next time!

In my opinion the best Thai food in St Albans. Food is good, price reasonable, staff are welcoming and town centre location. No parking outside so you need to find your own parking and walk up the high street passing all the interesting shops. Highly recommend this place.

Maybe for someone who has a sweet tooth but definitely not for me, can’t taste any flavour other than sweetness in the Pad Thai, even tho I put soy sauce, double amount of chilli oil and vinegar, still can’t get rid of the sweetness. Had to leave it in the end although I don’t like waste food.

Really nice meal last night. It's a cozy place and they brought out prawn crackers while we waited for our starters which was a lovely touch. The food was amaaaazing. We both chose spicy meals (medium and spicy) and wow, they were just that! Loved every bite and we will definitely be back! A great place for a date night, a solo meal, or a small gathering if you book ahead.
