“I usually order their takeaway from the Italian menu (Milanese special + garlic bread is always amazing), but I recently dined in and tried the Polish food. I brought my Polish friend who has very high standards, and they were genuinely impressed! The portions are huge, the prices are great, and if you’re eating in you can get a jug of kompot, a delicious homemade fruit drink. I’ll definitely be back soon with more friends. Do yourself a favour and try the Polish dishes if ypu haven't already, but you won’t be disappointed either way!”

“I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon with my family, and as the only vegan in the group, my options were initially very limited. However, when I mentioned this to our server, Courtney, she went above and beyond. She spoke with the chef and came back with several options they could prepare specially for me, which I thought was incredibly kind. The chef made a delicious arrabbiata along with garlic bread made with olive oil instead of butter - simple but delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was brilliant. As a vegan, I don’t always expect restaurants to accommodate me, so I was delighted by how thoughtful they were in offering alternatives. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the wonderful service.”

“We had a family meal there on a dank Thursday night but the welcome from Imogen and Lucy brightened up the evening. They looked after us very well and are a credit to Michaelangelo's. Our chef popped out from the kitchen and introduced herself and checked that our food was to our liking. We'll definitely be back.”

“I have been here 3-4 times and it’s quickly become our favorite local brunch spot, a designation I take seriously! Try the steak frites and classic breakfast. The weekday and weekend menus are both well worth a try. It’s kid friendly too with plenty of parking and a duck pond outside.”

“We had a table booked for 9 people for Christmas lunch. I arrived 15 mins early and the table was ready. Our server was polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was good. Some people in the group had the turkey dinner which was fantastic. A generous plateful of food - thick cut turkey with all the trimmings. I had the salmon which although a small portion was just enough for me. The bistro was very clean and the service was great. Will definitely be going back.”

“Muircot Farm Shop is well worth a visit. The food is freshly cooked using mostly locally sourced ingredients. The afternoon tea is a favourite of ours, with generously filled sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a selection of mini cakes. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The setting is marvellous with lovely views of the Ochil Hills.”

“Had a birthday lunch today in the bar area. We took our wee dog with us and he was given his bowl of water immediately. The wine was lovely, service was 1st class and the club sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Will definitely be coming back.”

“The smell of the log fire caught my attention, and we followed it. The staff are awesome! My dog was made welcome and was brought a fresh bowl of water. The food was delicious! The coffee was really creamy. I ordered three for myself, two while eating and one for the road. I was visiting the area from Livingston, but I'll definitely come visit again, and if I know anyone who's going to Sterling I will highly recommend this place. The music volume was just right, and the ambiance was cosy. Thank you for a very pleasant experience. “This place is amazing. The sandwiches are jaw crackers - stuffed full with fillings which are delicious. Attention to detail about the quality of everything is clearly on the agenda here at Alessio's. Flavours are gutsy and pack a punch. Superb value. Service excellent. Amazing place if you like punchy flavours, your sandwiches packed full to bursting and quality of ingredients top notch. I'd come back to Kirkintilloch simply to visit here. Bravo.”
