“Parked near Waitrose on the way to have dinner with my wife at on of Farnham's High Street restaurants. However, on the way we noticed this small Italian restaurant and as the menu looked good we decided to give it a try. It was very early so we were the first customers, hence the 4-stars for Atmosphere. However it began to fill up as we left. The Owner and waiter welcomed us and they were very friendly. The food was excellent (and I mean excellent) - some of the best Italian food we have had. We dine out fairly regularly so we do not say this lightly. I really could not fault anything - the starters, the mains even the coffee was perfect It was also nice to find a restaurant that was more of a family business rather than one of the national chain establishments. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough and if you are in Farnham then I strongly urge you to try the Barn Bistro. You will not be disappointed.”

“A place to enjoy excellent Indian cuisine, with flavours unlike any other curry house in or around Reading. Dishes we opted for included Nilgri lamb chops, tandoori mixed grill and Bengal Bream - all were excellent, and went down well with a pint of Cobra beer! Coupled with a relaxed atmosphere & great service...makes for a thoroughly enjoyable evening out at a lovely setting in Pangbourne.”

“Visited for the first time last weekend, and absolutely loved the food and the vibe! The part-time waitress we had was amazing and a lovely lady that definitely looked after us! Please note that service can take a while, we stayed over 2 hours for a main and a dessert!”

“I've been here a couple of times now and it's a great cafe, the staff are polite and attentive, it's modern and cozy, they have a great list of food and drink and also cater for those who chose to refrain from eating animal products as well as those who have allergy/dietary needs. The food itself is well presented and the portions are great especially for the price. The service is quick and the tables are kept clean. There is also an area dedicated to small children and there is plenty of space for parents with buggies so there is no worry of blocking anyone in or being in the way. There's excellent disabled access and it's right next to the train station so grabbing a drink or something to eat on the go is no problem especially that the service is very timely. All in all this cafe is excellent and I can't recommend it enough.”

“Blandy’s is a hidden gem. It’s located in a luxury retirement home in the most beautiful building and grounds. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive. I was hosting a private dining event and it was very easy to book, and Ionut and his team were fantastic in ensuring that everything ran smoothly and was how I wanted it. I was able to make requests and there was no pressure to leave the venue by a certain time. Everyone commented on how classy and peaceful the venue was. The food was lovely too, so all in all it was perfect and just how I wanted it.”

“Really good food. Calamari was nice and crispy rather than rubbery or slimy and came with plenty of sauce. Burger and chips were faultless - caramelised onions always take it to another level for me. The meringue dessert was also just right. Would have liked a few more non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks options but not a deal-breaker by far. Came to £37 which included 2 drinks, starter, main and dessert.”

Immediately after a lovely morning cruise, and the brain calories burnt along the way in speed using a knots system, then immediately off the boat and straight into this fabulous riverside restaurant that enables dine al fresco with a shade, to avoid getting burnt! “It's a very good bistro that is children and dog friendly. Lots of mums and babies/todlers use it especially on Mondays. The car park is for residents of Poppy Meadows only. The food is home cooked and the coffee is excellent plus a great range of cakes. There are special nights laid on see their blackboard for details.”

“Lovely hotel and the themed suites are pricy but a novel treat if you want some space with a different ambience. Fantastic breakfast. No parking on site but there is a multistory on the opposite side of reading train station, so it's only a five minute walk. Great location of you want the reading night life.”

“Food was amazing, the portion sizes were so great that we had to take it out, the pricing was also fantastic - very cheap and yet the value was great for both the quality of the food and the portioning. As a Pole, I am incredibly proud and impressed at the quality of food and service here. It genuinely felt like I had just walked into a restaurant in my home town. My partner was also very happy with everything and loved the food as her first experience of proper Polish cuisine. Would highly recommend the Timberman Desk for anyone looking to get a good taste of Slavic cuisine. Will definitely be visiting this amazing restaurant again!”

“We came for afternoon tea, just as they open the bistro for it on a Saturday. The lady who was serving us was incredibly friendly, representing everything customer service should be. The tea itself was great, the sweet treats were very tasty, the scones warm and fluffy, but maybe the sandwiches could’ve been slightly better. Overall, it was a great experience, we will 100% come back soon!”

“We met Mannie when she had one of her charcuterie bars at Basing House Wedding Fayre. We really liked this idea and decided to book her for after our wedding as an alternative to the traditional canapés whilst the photos were taking place. Mannie liased with us on what we would like and we chose a mixture of sweet and savoury. On the day she themed the cart to our wedding theme of Christmas and even popped a couple of filled up cones to one side to make sure, as the bride and groom, we got one. We had some lovely comments from people on the day several who went back for seconds. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Mannicitas Catering and the brilliant charcuterie bars for anyone looking for something different to the usual canapés. Thank you, Mannie, for being part of our special day.”

Great menu & daily dishes that made it difficult to choose. I had the 2xbaked cheese souffle stacked with a mountain of finely grated parmesan & my friend had scallops (both simply the best) followed by perfectly cooked calves liver on a bed of mashed potato & leeks with pancetta & perfect mix of herbs then their home-made ice cream.”

The Iberian inspired menu is full of flavour and well presented...From the padron peppers to the Catalan fish stew to the Basque cheesecake with macerated berries...the flavours are nicely balanced and cooked to perfection! Moreover, the great selection of wines nicely complemented the amazing food! The countryside of Yattendon is an idyllic setting to enjoy fantastic food and brilliant service at the Pot Kiln!”
