   I was so glad I chose Blandy’s for a recent event – a surprise afternoon tea to celebrate a 90th birthday. Blandy’s is located in a magnificent building which is set in a beautiful location and as soon as you enter the grounds, it feels exclusive and special. The venue is elegant, tastefully decorated and has a relaxed atmosphere. We could not fault the staff who were very welcoming, professional and attentive. My booking requests were attended to with calm efficiency and everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and plentiful. The afternoon was just as I’d hoped and was enjoyed by the group, who were in no rush to leave (!) and nor was there any pressure put on us to leave by a certain time. In addition, Ionut and the team presented a celebratory slice of cake with macarons with a message in piped chocolate wishing our special guest a happy birthday – this was a surprise for us all and a really lovely touch - thank you.

   Blandy’s is a hidden gem. It’s located in a luxury retirement home in the most beautiful building and grounds. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive. I was hosting a private dining event and it was very easy to book, and Ionut and his team were fantastic in ensuring that everything ran smoothly and was how I wanted it. I was able to make requests and there was no pressure to leave the venue by a certain time. Everyone commented on how classy and peaceful the venue was. The food was lovely too, so all in all it was perfect and just how I wanted it.

   Went there for a drink last Saturday for the first time,. They were serving a French set lunch menu and according to the residents that I spoke to the coq au vin and tarte tartin were mouth watering. Beautiful place, would definitely go back for a meal in the guest dining room.

   Wonderful location, excellent food all our dishes looked and tasted fantastic! Smoked duck breast starter was a highlight. Most enjoyable evening where we had the restaurant to ourselves! Staff were really helpful and friendly. Look forward to coming again.
