Would be good if the management offered more competitive pricing for drinks besides that I really can't fault it. Meat was cooked lovely, warm. Very fresh and succulent. “One of the best places to eat in Reading! Second time eating- every time extremely happy! Me and my husband Edgar ordered today Zaks mixed platter and lamb shashlik. Everything was super tasty. “Our first time lunching at the Butcher’s Tap & Grill in Marlow and we were impressed! Dropped in for lunch on Sunday. I had the Korean barbecue Chicken burger w/ Parmesan Truffle fries (w/ a pot of smoked Garlic mayo) and my wife ordered the Sunday Roast Pork belly. She is a Sunday Roast connoisseur and said that this was hands down one of the best Roast Pork she’s ever had. The whole Sunday Roast is almost stuffed into a humongous Yorkshire Pudding! Total “show stopper”…and it’s a proper thick cut roll of roast pork belly with amazing crackling (& all trimmings ie- roast potatoes, carrots, creamed cabbage & apple sauce w/ extra gravy!) My chicken burger was pretty impressive too but I’ll admit I was battling a bad case of food envy looking at my wife’s plate! The fries were completely snowed under a blanket of Parmesan shavings and a super rich truffle mayo! Wow! For drinks we had a bottle of Brewdog IPA and Pimms’. Our total bill for 2 was just under £60. We recently moved into the area and are just 10mins drive away…can’t wait to return! Highly recommended. The customer service was lovely too.”

“Tasty veggie burger made with mashed potatoes and veggies with a crunchy breading. Standard frozen burger, but it was prepared with care, which makes the difference between something you enjoy and would order again and something that you can just get down. Garnished with onion and served with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber salad and some very nicely-cooked chips. Appreciated after a long day of cruising down the Thames in the hot sun. Along with a glass of cider! Additional vegetarian and vegan options would be appreciated, but we enjoyed what they had.”

“Excellent service and the food was superb! We were there on a Tuesday and they had unlimited mussels cooked in a variety of style plus fries, white bread and a drink and it cost only about £15! That was super value for money. The mussels was really delicious! Kids had calamari for starters and it was so good they wanted more! Definitely recommend this place.”

“A nicely located pub just in the heart of Prospect Park. The place has plenty of free parking (don’t forget to register at check in). The menu is quite ‘suculent’ with lots of options and nicely cooked food (not a fish ‘n’ chip bar). The view is great over the park with a quiet ambiance. You can have salad as much as you like which is a vegan’s paradise. Waiting time for taking the order is a bit long but quite polite so doesn’t feel rushed in any way. Book and enjoy a nice lunch or dinner with family, friends or just on your own.”

“Another visit and delighted to see the venue has had a complete refit. Much lighter thought out and a more airy feel. Very welcoming. The tikka sea bass was gorgeous(I pinched a bit from my fellow diner) and my skewered chicken was very tasty accompanied but a very refreshing ginger ale and mint mocktail. All in all a lovely meal.”
