“We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at The Lounge and i have to say the place was amazing. The staff and management were fantastic and catered for all our needs. The food was absolutely amazing and probably the best I’ve had for a wedding or party. All of our guests have sent messages stating they were so impressed with the food. Your amazing Chef and Service Staff definitely need a pay rise for all their hard work. If anyone requires similar set up like the pictures below please don’t hesitate ask the team to get in touch.”

“Highly recommend for Grill lovers especially the Sizzler Tandoori Chicken was amazing. We loved the delicious indian dishes with nice and crispy Butter Naan. Enjoyed the fabulous ambience with dine in as it was so relaxing. Staff was so nice and friendly and the customer service was excellent. They served high quality food eventhough its not pricey. “Had a fantastic evening with 3 friends tonight. This place is a hidden gem in Erdington and I will be back regularly. The food is amazing and tasty and arrives to the table very hot. Each person is catered for perfectly and cood how we like it. I had massala fish starter and it was hot tasty and a nice crispy coating then mixed grill for one as my main. This was also delicious and included 3 fish pacoras 3 wings 3 sheish kebabs and 3 big chunks of tandoori chicken. It's well worth it and very good value. 4 people had starter and mains with 2 drinks each for under £80. Restaurant was very clean and complied well with covid compliance Thanks again for the great food and good night”

“Went out with the family, amazing restaurant overall. Food was great, sweet and spicy where it needed to be and cooked to perfection. Staff were amazing and engaging as well, offering their superstandard service wherever they could. The atmosphere connects all this together and tops it off, great vibe with montages of the Ombre restaurant playing in the background. Absolutely great! Will definitely come back here, even if it was a 4hr drive.”

“By far the best fish n chips in the whole of birmingham. Better than Bedders all day long. No weird greasy aftertaste, no smelly smells in the restaurant. The chips cooked to perfection. Fish was lovely and flaky no skin or off putting veins in the fish no bones, good decent portion size, average price. Service was friendly, atmosphere was relaxing, a great place to dine with plenty of seating either upstairs or downstairs. Overall 10/10 definitely worth going and has become our regular for fish n chips.”

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel completely at home right away. Now, let’s talk about the food — because wow! The mixed grill was absolutely phenomenal. Every single item on the platter was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their cooking. The fish was another highlight — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. It honestly melted in the mouth. It’s rare to find a place that nails both meat with such consistency, but Merrymaid absolutely does. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. , the food came out hot and fresh, and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. What really impressed me, though, was the personal touch — the owner, Ranjit, personally came over to our table to ask how everything was. That kind of attention and care speaks volumes about how much pride he takes in his restaurant and how much he values his customers. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience. Everything about this place says quality — from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of the food and the friendly, family-like vibe that makes you want to stay longer. You can tell the whole team truly cares about what they do, and it shows in every detail. We will be back to try the curry. Merrymaid Bar and Grill is the place to go. “Having tried all the great places like Chaiwalla, Chai Green ... if you havent tried Muhammadi breakfasts your missing out. The food the service the portions the ambiance is great. Enjoyed the 5:99 breakfast from choice of 4 dishes served alongside the Laccha Parata and cuppa tea or drink. It was delicious non oily! The 1 Parata was equivalent to 2 - i was full up having half - The saag was delicious - being from a Bangladeshi background the flavours Pakistani cuisine was absolutely impeccable. The chana had also flavours not like chai green where salt is forgotten- the chef is clearly checking his flavours before serving to his customers. Dont be fooled by the front entrance plenty of seating inside from 8-9 tables and benches. Very comfy and homely... Thankyou Muhammadi for coming into the area. My first choice now compared to chaiwalla and chai green breakfast- Must try!”

“I ordered in via Deliveroo while I was staying at The Premier Inn North Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield). Service was rapid and the food….firstly, I could not decide from the menu; everything looked delish! When I finally decided, I ordered more than I needed. Man! I just about chewed my fingers off. I loved how rich the food was. I think I got lamb and paneer spinach with naan, but it doesn’t even matter. Just check out the photos. Now I’m hungry (just for this food).”
