    The ambience was very good and we really liked it. However, the service was not as good. Completely understaffed, We clearly mentioned while ordering that we did not want anything spicy, but the food still came much spicier than expected. The same waiter later told us that the sauce is spicy either way — something he could have informed us about when we placed the order, and we would have chosen something else. The tone of the conversation could also have been better. Apart from the spice level, the food itself was good — we especially liked the bhutton. If the service and customer feedback were taken more seriously, we would definitely have considered coming again with our family.

    Consistently Brilliant Food and Service! ​"My friend and I are regulars at The Royal Castle, and it never disappoints! On our latest visit, we had the mixed grill with masala chips and naans, and it was absolutely amazing, as always. The food is consistently packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. ​What really makes this place special, on top of the great food, is the staff. They are always so friendly and welcoming with a smile on their faces. ​For dessert, my friend had the chocolate brownie which was really nice and decadent (I had a bite to confirm!). I had the cheesecake which was okay, but the brownie was the clear winner. ​We keep coming back for a reason. Highly recommended if you want a guaranteed fantastic meal!" I have used ai to help me after one too many pints lol. We got to try a Nepalese cocktail.

    This is by far the best bar and grill around here. Never had a bad meal here. Its a definite must try. Atmosphere is good and food price and quantity is great. Its just had a nice update of decor inside. If you haven't been before you need to give this place a go

    I ordered chicken noodles and chicken momo from just eat. Momo were amazing. But the noodles portion was very less no Vegetables and no chicken at all. Whereas I paid 8.5 pounds just for the noodles. Not worth it and disappointed. Need to have second thought before ordering again.

    In a town where mixed grills and curries are available in most pubs, this place reminds me of one thing: do the basics well and the rest will come. Ordered chicken tikka and lamb curry the other day and it was, by far, the best I’ve eaten. Chicken was fresh, moist and flavours out of this world. Lamb was tender, hardly any fat and a curry reminding me of mom’s cooking growing up. It doesn’t matter if a pub makes a claim as first indoor BBQ or the size of the TV for matches, what matters is doing the basics well and good food done right, for me, is what makes me want to keep going to a place. Will be my first stop for food when I’m back in town. Love it.

    First time i went there it was good but the 2nd tim,e which was a few days ago the food was absolutely delicious . From the service to the food its all there, we mainly enjoyed the chicken biryani, lamb balti, ghol momo, chicken jalfrizi and cant forget the famous naan and pilao rice .My family couldn't get enough of it, hence why we went there again and are planning to go again in the future. Highly recommend this resturant

    Always excellent food and service, have been many times now. Excellent value for money and really tasty food. The meat is good quality and always cooked and prepared well. Can be a bit noisy as it is an open plan room, but generally the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Great options being a fusion style grill and I recommend trying some if the Nepalese style dishes.
