“Kareoke and Dj every Sunday 3pm till 6pm. Restaurant seating are towards the back, good bar with a nice selection of beer, cider and spirits. Food is delicious every time I've ordered having tried the Crispy Chilli Chios before, which were delicious, this time around I opted for Honey Chilli Chips, Chicken Tikka and Poppadoms with sauces. The chips were a chefs recommendation, they were fantastic, I'm glad he did so. Service is always friendly and that love surely goes into the food. It is very flavourful each time and I cannot resist the temptation to grab another dish when I am here. Thank you very much, really enjoyed.”

“Had a fantastic experience at Hen and Chicken Bar & Grill! The atmosphere was welcoming and lively, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and served hot, with great portion sizes and plenty of flavour, it was THE BEST mix grill I ever had! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great meal and a good time. I’ll definitely be back! :)”

“Very nice steaks, which is what we went for. All the food was good, flavoursome and enjoyable. If you compare to a Miller and carter I found the steaks here much more flavoursome and cheaper, so if you like your steaks put this place on your to do list Not a football fan and that was on every screen you could see. We do plan on returning with more guests next time who also want to try the steaks, that will be in September, so yes all round enjoyable and a return planned.”

Love the food- be it chicken or lamb or vegetarian. Absolutely moist and tender meat. And to add cherry on top- staff are welcoming - warm and most importantly smily. “We love the food, always fresh and top quality. There’s no issues if you would like to swap something and the girls behind the bar are lovely, however the waitresses seem to change all the time and their English is limited. Plenty of parking on site. Modern interior and great atmosphere, couldn’t recommend more!!!!”

“Took my family here and was happy to see they have a nice dining area separated from the pub area. I wasn't expecting much as I've had deliveries from here a few years ago which were just ok, but I was pleasantly surprised. Mixi was decent. It's a shame they open too late for lunch, but we had a nice dinner here. There was an ok beer selection to choose from.”

“I've swerved this chippy for many years because I've heard so many things which aren't so great, but thought I'd check it out for myself today. All I got were chips, but they were lovely, hot, and fresh. I'm tired of all the battered Black Country style chips around here, so was nice to get some normal ones. Guess I've learned my lesson to not believe everything I hear.”

“Firstly the building is beautiful and the layout is so nice with big, spaced out tables, the bar on one end, and cosy corners which provides privacy. We were greeted very politely at the door and shown to our table. Food was amazing, so many veggie options! I had the Methi Matar Malai and the Samosas, best ones I've ever had. Cocktails were great too and 2 for £12 is decent so I had quite a few, and still felt very comfortable in the establishment (many people were drinking but no one was being too loud or creepy). Ordering with the QR code was chill and straightforward and staff were still very attentive but also didn't meddle in anyone's business unless we asked for something, they just left us to eat in peace and only came back to collect dishes at the end. Just all round perfect experience. One thing I will say, the car park is tiny for the size of the restaurant so need to get there early and also book a table in advance/ maybe go during the day rather than evening. We will be back!”

“I ordered for takeaway as we were atayomg in a hotel nearby. Absolutely fantastic food, cooked to perfection as mentioned. Chef personally came out and went right through the order and did hand over. Really nice service, so pleased I ordered from here, butter chicken wa spiced up as requestex and chilli garlic fish was out of this world, one of the best I have ever had and so reasonably priced, We will comback for sure.”

“The Great Lion is finally open (formally the Desi Junction). Had a wonderful evening here. They have fully refurbished the inside and it looks amazing. So many different seating areas to choose from. I would say it is more of a restaurant and bar now, instead of a pub. I think there is seating for about 300 people to dine. There are loads of TV screens up, so will be great place to watch the football, cricket and other sports now in West Bromwich. There is also a new seating area out the back. Ordered a few different items off the menu and everything was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. They have put a large windows in so you can see straight into the kitchen, which is a nice touch. The service of the food and drinks was great and all the staff are friendly. Will definitely be visiting here again soon!”
