I miss the smile of the owners son. He always greeted us with titanic smile, that sank into your heart. I memory that lives with us forever, in hearts, his warm brace and handshake, you'd never forget. He be there at kitchen door, waiting greeting customers. All spend time with you. You don't always go for the great food every time, it's the people there that make it fantastic. I went for dinner on Saturday night with my family. I didn't get that warm feeling, if the owner hadn't stepped in with his positive greeting and warmth, we were about walk back out. My friends and colleagues this Christmas from London, 40 of us didn't want to have spend there Christmas evening at hen and chicken. I ask one Wolverhampton friends who visited to explain. He told me the supervisor had attitude problems, and we should spend it one of the other spice pubs. So we decided to go to the Royal Oak, on holyhead Road, and the island westbromwich, all 40 of were greeted by owners in both places, with smiles and hugs from the owner's. We had great time, ended up spending thousands of pounds. I still remember the Christmas we had at your place when a few of the friends taxid up and back to London. The owner treated great, broke out Irish Whiskey, what a fantastic night. All enjoyed. You need to put a supervisor in that place that has personality of your son, whether you put somebody there on trail bases to see how they do, may make a big difference. The bold guy, whether he's pendu, just doesn't have the right attitude. I miss the boy, he will always be in our hearts. It's always difficult at Christmas when love one's aren't around. I realise as the owner, you can see people for what they are. That middle reserved table was never used on Saturday evening, a waste. Bring somebody in that has your family values and attitude. It's not always, money, we had the large grill, and so many dishes that table wasn't big enough. The food was great apart from I noticed the salmon was a bit dryer then usual, and that the butter naans where half didn't have butter on. A small little thing, everything else was great. BR

Had a fantastic experience at Hen and Chicken Bar & Grill! The atmosphere was welcoming and lively, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and served hot, with great portion sizes and plenty of flavour, it was THE BEST mix grill I ever had! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great meal and a good time. I’ll definitely be back! :)

The pub is nicely done out with a spacious restaurant area, which is where I spent my time, but I did wander into the pub area for a few seconds and it was fairly tidy in there too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are quite reasonable. Beer selection is pretty basic, but that's usually the case for the majority of these kinds of places. The food, in my humble opinion, isn't top tier in comparison to other similar places, but still good enough to make the place a solid dining option. Nice touch giving out complimentary poppadoms while you wait on your order, and fairly good variety on the special mixed grill. There are a couple of free car parks and a few street parking options nearby, which was quite convenient.

Came here to try on good recommendations as we tried the bradford Arms(champies) but was way too packed and they had a 40 minute wait. To be honest we wasn't disappointed, So the Staff here are ok, and its not too busy. Ordered 2 large mixed grills and they were delicious I must say, 1 biriyani and 1 chicken korma, 2 keema naans and 2 chips Inc 1 spicy. All very nice indeed. My only niggle was that the korma that I ordered came out as a chicken tikka masala which I didn't order, so questioned it and was told thats what I ordered so rather than argue and as it may have been my mistake at the counter while ordering we just kept it, but wife really wanted a korma. A bit too spicy for her but that's individual taste not restaurants fault. I must say its worth a visit. Total bill was approx £70 give or take a couple of quid. Will go back but next time I'll order correct or just double check my order before it's cooked.

We were lucky to get a table due to it being very busy with large bookings/reservations. The staff are friendly and helpful. The curry dishes and naan were tasty but the mix grill wasn't sizzling and tasted OK. If paying by card then a minimum of £10 is required!!
