   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding – A True Gem! I recently visited Merrymaid Bar and Grill, and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel completely at home right away. Now, let’s talk about the food — because wow! The mixed grill was absolutely phenomenal. Every single item on the platter was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their cooking. The fish was another highlight — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. It honestly melted in the mouth. It’s rare to find a place that nails both meat with such consistency, but Merrymaid absolutely does. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. , the food came out hot and fresh, and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. What really impressed me, though, was the personal touch — the owner, Ranjit, personally came over to our table to ask how everything was. That kind of attention and care speaks volumes about how much pride he takes in his restaurant and how much he values his customers. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience. Everything about this place says quality — from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of the food and the friendly, family-like vibe that makes you want to stay longer. You can tell the whole team truly cares about what they do, and it shows in every detail. We will be back to try the curry. Merrymaid Bar and Grill is the place to go. I can’t recommend it highly enough — five stars all the way! Highly recommended

   I had large grill and it was large and very yummy and hot ..2 people can easily eat it fully so before ordering know that portion sizes here are massive ....I can't say huge as they are above that so ask waitress before ordering each time .

   Food was absolutely phenomenal. Meat cooked to perfection on the mixed grill and in the curry. Superbly seasoned and incredibly succulent. Even though it was averagely busy the service was immaculate, food was out fast, staff were friendly. Atmosphere only dropped a star because the restaurant side is quite bland and made me a bit hesitant but thankfully we sat down anyway. Between two we ordered a small mixed grill, pilau rice, garlic naan, Chicken Madras and Lamb Rogan Josh. Plenty for two adults.

   Seen so many people raving about this place, I've been meaning to visit for a while. Finally got round to it. Firstly you see a lot of reviews talking about the interior, but I actually don't mind it. It brings back memories of how these places used to be before they took off. You definitely won't see young ladies dressing up and posing against botanical feature walls for Instagram in here. The beer selection is very basic, no craft ales, but again, that adds to the nostalgic feel of the old time Desi Pubs. The Mixi is what I was here for, and it lived up to the hype. The only thing that was a bit iffy was the masala chips, but who honestly really cares about those? The lamb chops on the grill were the best I've ever had anywhere. The curry was flavoursome and looked natural unlike everywhere else that throws in red colouring. Portions were big and prices were very reasonable. Service was great. Didn't even have to ask for a menu, was handed two immediately as I bought drinks at the bar. I would definitely be a regular if I lived closer, and I look forward to another visit soon...

   Attended as a group of 5 but I've been before. Food is excellent and delivered quickly. There was a bit of confusion over ordering as I couldn't remember if we needed to order at the bar but that was just the drinks. I'm a real ale drinker but was happy with Cobra. Staff are lovely and really friendly. Again, the food was delicious. Will be back.

   I just happened to visit this bar, a few months ago, while visiting Currys next door and wow, I was so blown away! The food was so delicious and the service was also great! Since then, I have visited a couple more times and yesterday, being my birthday, I also chose here for my birthday meal (and I can be picky at times)! I am never disappointed with the quality of the food and the service and pleasant atmosphere makes you want to visit again and again.

   Warm, friendly atmosphere with good honest food. The starters were excellent, a lovely Rita, crisp poppadoms and a nice chutney and pickle. The fish pakoras were delicious, crispy and a perfect amount of spice to them. The mixed Grill was excellent, I didn't expect anything else, as I'd heard lots of good things. Succulent range of meats all spiced deliciously. The curries were also excellent, with the chef allowing us to adapt one of the curries which was great. The naan's were also very tasty. Our experience here was excellent and I will definitely be returning.
