The staff did what they could to mitigate the poor decisions made by booking managers. We booked 2 nights, dinner (Chez Mal), bed and breakfast along with my in-laws for a 60th birthday. We arrived to be informed that due to functions in the Hotel that the restuarant would not be available for the first night and the bar would not be available on the second. Had we been informed of this between date of booking and date of stay we could have made alternative arrangements. Again the staff did what they could to mitigate the impact. Poor show Malmaison Senior Management considering I booked direct on your website and confirmed with the concierge after booking.

The service was excellent. I believe the lighting in the rooms could be improved, as the room remained dim even with all the spotlights activated. The dark walls also contributed to this issue. Perhaps brightening the rooms would be beneficial.

Very spacious room, large bed. Very comfy. Has iron and ironing board in room. Shower very nice. Bar downstairs is great, lovely tall ceiling. We didn't have a meal there, but the breakfast was very good with a choice of cooked or continental. Location is very close to centre as well. They share parking with Q car park, so there's a discount code. It's an uphill walk to Malmaison from the car park though.

The minute you walk in you are greeted by very friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms feel clean, luxurious and have all the amenities you need to have a pleasant stay. The breakfast is some of the best I had and the food served is delicious and wonderfully presented. The people that served me really go the extra mile and make you feel as a valued guest. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Good location for just out of main stream. Staff amazing. All rooms despite size has all requirements for an excellent city break. We parked our car and used the excellent Glasgow taxi service which all hotels and restaurants use. You could say the breakfast is on the expensive side but the choice is amazing and portions very generous. Top class comfortable beds.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely part of Glasgow. Our room was lovely! The bed was huge and incredibly hard to get out of. Well decorated! Only downsides were the fact it was facing a construction site, not all of the plug sockets worked and the knob fell off the shower as it wasn't properly secured. Overall though a beautiful room still! The bar was lovely. We had some beautiful cocktails. The breakfast was top notch. The food we got for room service was lovely although very pricey. 17.50 for a burger. The calamari was super expensive for the portion size. It was all beautifully cooked though! Special mention to Megan on the front desk who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. Would definitely stay again.

After my wife staying at Malmason travelling for work for a number if years we stayed at Edinburgh which was a really good experience. So we decided to a stay in Glasgow. Stayed in a club deluxe room which was very underwhelming. Breakfast was luke warm but other then that was good and service was good. What was super disappointing was the way the front of house dealt with a problem. We were watching television when a light shone through from the ceiling into our room through an air vent. We could hear voices. We rushed out to speak to front of house who said it was 'workman' in the gap between the ceiling and rooms doing some work. It will stop in a minute. Ridiculous unacceptable spoke to the front of house 3 times and after 45 minutes the workmen moved on. From our experience it was poor room, poor service. Repair the floorboards, change the name of the room and from club deluxe to standard and that would be a fairer representation

Do not stay in room 106. I've not even left my room yet and I'm leaving this review as I've had about 3 hrs sleep. I have been woken up 5 times during the night by vehicles and people emptying/filling bins. The main purpose of a hotel is to sleep and that's not what I had. Now my partner has a long drive and I have a flight to take on very little sleep. The staff are wonderful, the room is nicely done out, and the location is good. But if you can't get a good night's sleep the value of the room is 0.

My son & I stayed at Malmaison Glasgow. He loves history so we reserved 2 rooms in the old section of the hotel. The rooms were so comfortable, the amenities nice. The bed was heaven. We had dinner in the bar, breakfast in the restaurant. The staff was fantastic with recommendations, we needed a barber for my son. They were friendly, helpful, & we will definitely stay there again when we return to Glasgow.
