Prior to coming to Scotland we had initially booked a traditional hotel. The we had the idea to see if there were any castles to stay in and we found Sherbrooke. This place was super cool! The staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was superb and reasonably priced. It was especially beautiful this time of year with all the Christmas decorations and lights. We had a corner room with a small alcove with two chairs and a small table for coffee or tea service. The main room was large as was the closet in the hall down to the bathroom. The bathroom was well sized with a separate full size tub and shower. I think this hotel room was larger than my first apartment. With wooden windows and a great view of the surrounding area, it was amazing to look out the windows day or night. The curtains are large and heavy which is needed during the winter as the castle is somewhat drafty, as one might expect. The rooms are well heated and we were nice and warm even though there was a chance of snow. If you are looking for something better than the run of the mill accommodation, this place is the place to stay. Be mindful there are no elevators but staff on-site will help carry the luggage if needed.

We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Castle. It has a "Highland Castle" feeling inside and outside, despite being 10 mins from city centre! The Christmas and overall decor were very cosy, and the service was excellent too!

Went for Christmas dinner in a group of 6 adults plus 2 kids but didn't stay so can't comment on rooms. Lovely cosy Christmas decorations and comfortable seating with ample parking. Food was ok for the price though some food items we received wasn't what had been advertised. Not a mega deal but just would have been nice to have been advised. While service from staff were fine (lovely chap in reception area), I felt it was a little slow between courses. Would give the place another go though as it might just have been an understaffed night.

We had a wonderful experience at Sherbrooke Castle for our wedding in October. The location was fantastic, with a beautiful ceremony room and the stunning castle backdrop that made for beautiful photos throughout the day. The space itself was perfect for our guests to socialise comfortably, and there was plenty of room for dancing later on, which everyone really enjoyed. A special mention must go to Claire and William, who truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day. Claire was an excellent communicator throughout the planning process and offered helpful advice that made a real difference. The only small issue was that the canopies didn’t quite reach all of our guests, which was a little frustrating as some were left hungry. Aside from this, the day was incredibly well run, and we’re very grateful for the care and effort put into making our wedding so special. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel in a great location, much nicer than staying in the city centre. The staff were really welcoming and attentive and breakfast excellent. We stayed in a suite, room 34 that had plenty of space. My only grumble would be the extraction fan close to the window that came on just after 5.30am. Would definitely stay again.

Stopped here 3 times now. Don’t even consider anywhere else in Glasgow. 3 miles to town centre, 2 miles to Ibrox park and a short walk to Bellahouston park. Good select of beers, good quality food in the restaurant ( a very uncomplicated menu). Haggis parcels are very nice and so is the pavlova! Rooms clean and tasteful decorated. Well worth a visit.

I've had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Sherbrooke and I've always found the experience a very pleasant one, the staff to be very helpful and the guests really enjoying themselves! Situated in a beautifully leafy section of the South Side of Glasgow. Recommended!

Lovely afternoon tea for my mums 93rd bday , the service was excellent given some of the party arrived 40mins late !!! Great selection of sandwiches and cakes , teas and coffee. Staff couldn't do enough for us opened additional doors to cope with mums mobility, seated us near toilets without being too close . Would highly recommend this place my mum loved it xx

Good food if a little rich. Hummus tasted more like garlic paste and latbread wasn't flat. But apart from that, quite a formal environment but very nice.
