A real local pub, with friendly regulars, and staff. We popped in here at about 4pm yesterday. Tennents and Strongbow, and gifted a bag of cheese & onion crisps by a local. Good music on the juke box. No frills, no fuss, just a good place for a beer.

Old Stag Inn 12 Greenview St, Shawlands, Glasgow G43 1SN, United Kingdom My mother, who grew up right across the street on Riverford Rd., always told stories of her mother having to send her to fetch her father home for supper from this wee pub, (my maternal grandfather, Papa Joe Connolly’s favorite tavern hangout, circa 1920’s-1940’s). My wife and I visited Scotland for the first time in August 2022. We met Brian, the proprietor, and several of the regulars, and had a great time visiting with them… very friendly people!
