“Everything about this little converted horsebox is fabulous! The coffee is amazing, it’s so clear from the off that Vinnie loves his coffee and knows what he’s doing on that front. The range of coffees (espresso machine based, aeropress, filter) teas and other hot drinks for such a small outlet is really impressive. The hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows is a real treat on a cold winter’s afternoon! They always have a good range of baked goods and interesting cold drinks too. Vinnie, the owner, is super friendly and always happy to make recommendations if you’re not sure. A walk along the river isn’t complete without a visit!”
“One of my favourite spaces away from London to embrace tranquility and nurture body, mind & soul✨I love the coffee and the classes which are all carefully and beautifully crafted to meet your needs. I’ve enjoyed a Christmas craft workshop & was impressed with the attention to detail and warm welcome.”
“Fantastic room, friendly staff, brilliant breakfast. We parked and walked into York. It was less than 0.9 mile walk. We will come back again.”
“We tried about 5 other places, either grumpy staff who didn't care or coffee that was undrinkable. What a fantastic surprise to find a great atmosphere and the best coffee, (whoever makes it - visited again yesterday) . I will make sure this is the only place I go to in Leeds when I visit in the future. Thank you”
“Absolutely fantastic food, quality, service, and experience. The staff are lovely, as are the owners. This is a MUST visit place if you are in the area or if you fancy a drive to a nice place for walking, etc. Our whole experience was positive. The food and cakes are amazing. Thank you to the sailor and the other staff. Thanks, Dave & Bev.”
“Very nice surprise in Beeston. Lovely cafe with outdoor sitting, probably the best cafe in the area. They joined the premises now with the pizza place next door so there's more sitting inside with the extra offers of Italian food. Coffee and food were good and reasonably priced. Very friendly and efficient staff. We'll have to get back before 12 and try the tempting breakfast offer next time.”
“Friendly little corner café in the market. 3 tables inside that seat 6, so emphasis on 'little'! Offers takeout too. I had the spiced chai latté at £3.30 and a slab of lemon and poppyseed cake which had lovely, lemon-ny icing on top. Clean café. Reasonably priced. Handy for market and is centrally located.”
“The food here is fantastic, particularly the chicken and rice which is both flavorful and fluffy. Really, really tasty. Can certainly recommend the place and the lady who runs it is also so friendly it makes it such a welcoming atmosphere.”
“Lovely place, always clean. Very good food, generous portions and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you've often driven past and wondered what it's like, treat yourself next time and call in :)”
“First vist , great coffee and possibly the best scone I have ever had.”
“Unassuming little coffee shop from the outside. Once inside, it's nice with some tasty looking pastries and sandwiches. More importantly the coffee was extremely good, probably the best balanced latte I've had recently from anywhere. Make a detour there - highly recommended.”
“the food portions match the prices, and the presentation is absolutely lovely! some good dogs came in when we were eating too, which was always nice!! everything is quite deconstructed, but it means things like tea + hot chocolates can have as much as we like on them which is great”
“I went in for a too good to go and Elvis who served me was great. Really friendly and chatty which is always nice. He made collection easy, asking about allergies and making sure everything was fine. Big hats off to him for that.”
“Excellent meal and service. Large portions so go hungry! We would definitely go again. We had the steaks served on the hot stones so were able to cook it to our own taste”
“This is the best coffee shop in Leeds. If you are in town and craving a coffee to a very high standard, this is where you should go. I am a resident, coffee nerd, and have tried most of them in the city and surroundings. This is the best and most consistent. Now bear in mind that they have a no laptops policy, so it’s not possible to sit and work in here - I think because having people camping at tables reduces space for people coming and going. It’s very small with limited seating (but more upstairs) - it’s designed to go with a few people or a friend and sit and talk, or for you to get takeaway. Anyway. Best coffee. Thanks for being awesome at what you do and caring about making each cup banging.”
“The serving staff were so nice at the counter, and you can see everyone working non-stop in the back. This was the best hot chocolate I’ve had in my entire time in Leeds. It was so tasty I ended up having 3 over the day on my market stall. No wonder so many people were queueing. Delicious.”
“Always a treat to visit Toast! Wonderful menu, warm, friendly service and great atmosphere. Lovely cakes, sandwiches and coffee.”
“We took our 80 year old parents on Saturday for an imprompu breakfast. Lovely food, good variety of choices, quality and value for the cost. Friendly and polite staff. They can't wait to return. Couldn't recommend it more!”
“Lovely coffee and great service. Very helpful coffee recommendations. Carrot cake was also delicious!”
“Perfect stay. I stayed here on a business trip on my own. Excellent breakfast everyday at 7am. Room clean, smart and comfortable. Wifi good. Lovely old house with original features. Ewa the host very friendly and helpful.”
“Lovely little quirky cafe, called in with husband and daughter on a Sunday afternoon. Food was really nice, myself and my husband ordered cheese and ham toasties with chutney, lovely thick slices of proper ham and thick slices of cheese. Our daughter ordered halloumi, avocado and hot honey bagel which she said was lovely. On the way out we spotted the cake counter and couldn't pass it by without taking a piece home. That too was delicious. We will definitely visit again when in the area.”
“Great place! Delicious food (I had the Chai French Toast). Loved knowing food was safe for my allergy due to it being a plant based cafe. Will be going again!”
“Stayed the night in Hebden and went here for breakfast. Had bacons sarnies, coffee and cannoli. Bacon was lovely quality, coffee was good (I'm a self-confessed coffee snob!) and the cannolis were amazing! (Not traditional Italian cannolis. The only way I can describe them is kind of mixed between a traditional cannoli and a caramelised peanut brittle). Staff seemed friendly and reasonably priced.”
“Delicious food and friendly staff. A lovely, local café.”
“A great place to go to break up your walk. Good good and drink and inexpensive.”
“Me and my mum always get ham and cheese panini with a Nutella pancake you should totally try it out because it is sooooo good but new members of staff might not know how to make it too good they try their best but I love this place and it's one of my favourites”
“Love this coffee shop, mainly come through when work allows but when I do get to come in the staff are always very friendly and can't do enough for you. The coffee is great, top tier lattes and the iced coffee is good in the summer heat. They play good country tunes, the decor is lovely and welcoming. Can't go wrong.”
“This place is so much nicer than the pretentious cafe over the road that asked us on spec if we had reservations! Delusions of grandeur methinks. In contrast the Craft House is very grounded. Great coffee, and they do lots of artsy activities. Excellent egg dishes. End report.”
“I’ve had breakfast here a few times and each time it was amazing, easily the best breakfast in goole and not too expensive either. I found the small breakfast was more than enough to fill me and I enjoyed the coffee a lot. Only fault was the decor was a little dated which wouldn’t be any issue but it made the furniture like tables and such look a little dirty.”
“The food was delicious. Breakfast was extremely filling.. if definitely fills you for the day. Presentation brill. Staff friendly and warm welcoming was our 1st time trying here. We would definitely return alil cramped for seating but over cosy place”
