   We stayed for two nights a couple of weeks ago and it was an unexpected but wonderful find. We booked room 2, The Japanese Room, and it was lovely to stay in a room so individually decorated and well thought out. The facilities within the room are very good as well. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in! Free parking which is a bonus in York, although a bit tight, but we had a small car so was ok. Very quiet and only a 15-20 minute walk in to York centre and all the restaurants and attractions. There are also a couple of places to eat within 5 -10 mins walk, plus a couple of convenience stores, so although you are in a residential area you are not isolated. The hosts were great and we enjoyed the breakfasts. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

   I re-booked after staying here last year and it’s still such a gem. The Oak Room has a gorgeous gothic Victorian feel that matches the charm of York in winter. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had everything needed for a perfect weekend away. The building is full of character, the host was fantastic, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. This will be my go-to place whenever I visit York. Only a short bus / taxi ride into York

   Great stay (Aug 25) we were in room 2, very well thought out B&B with excellent breakfast menu, lovely hosts most attentive to their guests. Well located for the public transport to York town centre. We are booked for a return visit later this year.

   Wonderful few days, very attentive couple and beautiful place. Very homely lovely breakfast with excellent homemade granola. Stayed in room 8 so comfortable, just one thing missing, would have liked bedside lamps to be able to to read without bright top light on.

   Just had two nights at this lovely guest house as a birthday treat. Location is excellent for walking into York, room was immaculate, lots of attention to detail and fresh milk in the fridge, this was great as we don't like the uht portions. Breakfast was delicious, we used the app to preorder our cooked breakfast. Lovely hosts and we will stay again if we return to York.

   We really enjoyed our 7th visit since we first came in 2013. I think the thing to say from our point of view is that the comfort, quality and general ambience are set at a very high level and never change. Tony and Diana always seem to be available and ready to answer any query we may have in a helpful and friendly manner. The breakfast was as ever superb, our room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Our only is that our visit was too short. When we first came we also liked the car parking facility and close proximity to the centre of the city making our stay perfect. In 2023 we still think the same. Thank you.

   Stayed for two nights in January and have already booked to return "twice". It is wonderful, they've thought of everything. Tasty breakfast ordered via the app. We walked into the city centre in about 10 minutes but there is a regular bus service just outside the hotel. No complaints at all.

   Just had a two night stay with four friends, it’s our second time and we had a fabulous experience. The rooms are amazing, all different and immaculately presented. Breakfast was delicious and Tony and Diana are fantastic hosts, they truly looked after us and their attention to detail is to be commended. Tower House is just a short walk to the city and Tony was most helpful with his knowledge of places to go. I would highly recommend a stay here if you’re travelling to York and we will definitely be back.

   From check in to check out - an excellent place to stay. Walking distance to historic places of interest. Room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast absolutely delicious and great choice. Hosts were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend and if we visit York in the future we would definitely stay here again.
