Easy parking, friendly greeting on a Saturday afternoon. We checked in around 3 o'clock. We checked the buses and waited just outsude the travelodge on the main road. A member of staff, who i found out is called Anna, check that the bus was on its way. She gave us info on the return journey where to get off at and also advice on the Uber drop off. She saved us some money taking heed of her advice. The room was clean, which is all you need. Greg's is perfect for breakfast.

I was kindly placed here fleeing a negative situation about 2.5 weeks ago, the manager was amazing as were the staff. I was fed and had a lovely warm shower and a nice cuppa. She checked on me and even gave me a spare t shirt as I had nothing. Absoloutley amazing place. Nice and remote made to feel very safe and relaxing. 10/10, very clean too

I've stayed in a lot of Travelodge hotels and never had any issues, but this hotel seems sub-par. The bathroom had quite a large amount of mould (even on easy to clean areas). There were cobwebs in most corners of the room (again takes 30 seconds to clean), various drips and fluids on the walls, and the room generally seems more tired than most. The door to my room was close to the staircase, and rattled every time somebody came up the stairs or walked down the hall. The key to the room had multiple pieces of paper shoddily taped to the disintegrating keyring to show the room number. The room wasn't soundproofed well either, with noise from the road outside quite prominent. Only worth staying here if it is considerably cheaper than the other nearby options, such as the Premier 8nn just down the road.

Hotel on A64 outside York. Excellent value for the room. Greggs is next door for breakfast and coffee, an Esso fuel station is on site for snacks and drinks. This hotel is surprisingly quiet for being beside a dual carriageway, definitely will use again. The reception staff are very pleasant and friendly

Evening staff at receotion was really a top bloke. Really helped alot and had a chat for about 20 minutes. Quite remote for halal food but nothing uber eats or deliveroo can't fix but extortionate prices. Room was okay, cleanliness could have been better and a bit of a maze to get to the room. The room i asked for was on the ground floor and at furthest away from the road noise. Reception made the stay memorable and hence why the 5 stars. Thank you to the receptionist for the guidance and for the chat.

Just off the A46, but traffic noise wasn't a problem, the bed was nice and comfy, pillow thickness was not what I'm used to, my only gripe is I wish they use Blackout Curtains in rooms at the front of the hotel, the lights from the carpark, light the room up, this isn't the only Travelodge that has this issue.

It was okay. We often opt for the purple rival but the Travelodge was significantly cheaper and it showed. Some basic amenities were lacking, only 2 plug sockets in the entire room and no hairdryer, but there is a bottle opener? On the plus side, it was clean, the lights in the headboard were good and the shower was excellent. The deal breaker though is having to pay for more than half an hour of WiFi, it's 2023 WiFi should be included and unlimited, particularly when I paid £80 for the room. The location is not ideal as you have to drive an extra 4 miles in the wrong direction to get there. The gentleman who greeted us behind reception was incredibly helpful and very pleasant.

It was great, good price, lovely room, all clean and fresh. Just such a pity that Burger King next door has closed. We did order take aways which were fine. A good place to stop over.

It's a room, there's a bed. Entrance felt like a prison. The bathroom light is unsafe for epileptics as the flickering drove us mad. The pillows were bad and there wasn't a convenient place to charge the phones. The location requires significantly more travel when returning from York, as there's not a close place to turn around. The staff were pleasant and nice.

As usual the beds are the best part of a Travelodge. It is quieter at the rear of hotel. The ground floor smells of fire damage. The location here is terrible your on a dual carriageway so you can only go left on leaving and when returning you drive miles past the hotel so you can turn around and drive miles back there's no other route. It's the 1st Travelodge I never want to see again.
