“What an amazing bed & breakfast - far better than any other b&b we've ever stayed in over the years. We were welcomed by John & Sarah as if we were old friends! They'd left tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate sachets with a kettle for us in our room together with freshly home made chocolate chip cookies and fresh milk and bottled water in our fridge. An absolutely beautiful house and garden with an extremely spacious family bedroom with a dressing room and spotless ensuite and WiFi. We also had a separate sitting room area on the landing outside our room with recliner sofas, a TV and a massive floor cushion - somewhere our family could enjoy a good game of Uno! We enjoyed beautiful views from our window over the fields towards the Mourne mountains. The breakfasts were amazing - tea, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurts, toast and very tasty Ulster Fries! Both John and Sarah were so welcoming and friendly, as were their 2 family dogs. Creeghduff Lodge is in a fantastic rural setting between Newcastle and Downpatrick and a short drive to Strangford from where you can cross to Portaferry by a 10 minute car ferry crossing. We couldn't recommend Creeghduff Lodge highly enough and thank John & Sarah for absolutely everything they did for us during our stay.”
“Highly recommended! The owner is super friendly, helpful and open minded. He helped us out when we couldn‘t find a place to stay and gave us some local advices for our last days in ireland. So happy we bumped into his place. All the best! :)”
“Brilliant. The food was perfect and high quality, the staff were friendly and helpful. I had one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Easy recommendation to anyone thinking about going.”
“Beautiful wedding venue. The party area for the reception was so well decorated and the balcony made for a great cool down zone post dance marathon. The bar staff were really lovely, especially a ginger-y gentleman who was working at the bar upstairs. Very friendly and working his butt off to keep up with a lot of big drinks orders. I didn't stay in the guest rooms that night but I have heard from family that it was a great stay.”
“Had cod with smoky tomato butter beans and side dish of mixed veg. Really delicious and different. Lovely and efficient staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere and busy, especially as it was a Monday. Dogs can be brought into the bar. Recommend. Did not stay overnight.”
“So many amazing memories here. We’ve stayed in the apartments for over a month a few summers in a row. Love the restaurant. Love the staff. They actually supplied the drinks for our wedding. Just so many amazing people. The foods great. Located right in the heart of town. Very affordable.”
“What a lovely stay we had at the anchor apartments! Spotlessly clean and the host provided everything you could possibly need for a comfortable break away. Lovely views and close to pubs and restaurants. Would highly recommend.”
“The owners were so welcoming and accommodating. They took good care of us during our trip to Northern Ireland. They picked us up from the station and made sure we got to our excursions with ease. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The town was friendly and beautiful. I felt as if I was with family during the whole experience. They made sure we knew how to get around Northern Ireland and also took us to some Game of Thrones sites (once they heard how we were fans). They even dropped us off at Winterfell and picked us up after our tour. The location was ideal and steps away from local pubs, shopping, and grocery stores. Our trip to Northern Ireland was amazing thanks to the owners at Number Nine B&B.”
“James and Nicola are friendly, attentive and accomadating hosts . Their period home is charming and comfortable and in a good location for day trips to the coastal village of Kilough for e.g. We brought our collie with us and she was accommadated well as they have dogs of their own. Harty and tasty breakfasts are provided to set you up for the day for trips further afield in Nl.!”
“As a large family, renting Inch Schoolhouse was the highlight of our trip abroad. The home is well appointed with multiple opportunities to both recreate and relax. I highly recommend!!”
“Highly recommend Maddie's place. Warm and cosy with all amenities but, best of all, it's literally about 20 yards from the door to the sand. Beautiful part of the world.”
“Beautiful surroundings. Fantastic service and parking”
“Absolutely brilliant. Stayed in a gypsy caravan in their apple orchard and it was an amazing experience.”
“Stayed here this weekend and what a treat. The location is perfect and the house was unbelievable. Great service includes. Will be back.”

“Excellent boarding for my dog, he always leaves happy. Knowing he is in safe hands make a trip away slot better, thank you”
“Stayed with 2 teenagers- great central location for exploring Co. Down and the surrounding areas. Jo communicated with us very well. Would stay again.”
“beautiful house, lovely area - highly recommended!”
“Allister was there when we arrived and went above and beyond to help get us checked in and settled. Made us feel like friends and not guests. Since we arrived about the time a lot of places were closing, we ordered sandwiches that truly looked like something out of a food magazine. The room was modern from recent renovations, and extremely comfortable. We will come back again in future.”
“Lovely apartment, delightful village - wonderful couple of days exploring the area from a super convenient base at Hamilton House. A charming holiday stay in a really clean, stylish and cozy apartment.”
“We stayed here for our sisters 40th birthday and the place is absolutely amazing.. every thing is very comfortable and the views from the master bedroom are breathtaking. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The wee pub a few doors up was a lively wee spot and the people very welcoming. We will definitely be booking again soon.”
