Brilliant. The food was perfect and high quality, the staff were friendly and helpful. I had one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Easy recommendation to anyone thinking about going.

This place serves the best dinner ever. I had a 3 coarse meal. The servings were brilliant. I've never had as much food at any other restaurants. And it was really tasty. Well done to the chef. The staff were great. Highly recommended.

Four of us ate at The Barn today. The food was amazing. Superb quality, beautifully presented and excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would 100% recommend a visit to The Barn.

Absolutely fantastic little place. We were staying in a nearby house we'd rented. Someone had put a note in the review book about going to The Barn, and how good the food was. I have to say, it was fantastic! There were five of us. We all had starters and mains and we had a bottle of wine. It was really reasonably priced, but the surprise was just how good the food was!! In my opinion, it was as good as anything I've ever had anywhere!! A real Jem of a place. Super beer garden areas! The staff were brilliant. Really attentive, helpful and friendly. Had a real pride in what they were doing and with helping us with choices etc. Definitely a place I would go out of my way to go to again!! The pork belly was out of this world!

This place deserves more than 5 stars!! Came here for a belated special birthday lunch and had a wonderful vegetarian meal. There were great menu choices with separate children and veggie/vegan menus and I struggled to choose as spoilt for choice. In the end I went for the Korean cauliflower and chargrilled celeriac, with both being delicious. Don't really see celeriac on menus and there was a Cajun roasted version on the main menu, which I was pleased my son chose so could have a taste. My son's pumpkin soup of the day was delicious as was my husband's prawn and salmon dishes. My daughter ate from the children's menu and declared her garlic bread being some of the best she has tasted and the kitchen kindly did a meat free Sunday roast, which she loved. I was too full for pudding but did have a taste of what everyone else went for. Service throughout was fantastic. Great to find somewhere so nice with a varied menu and suitable for the whole family.

This is a place that you walk in and Immediately feel like your home. It’s cozy and inviting and has the best Guinness pour in Northern Ireland. They have all the classics on the menu but also incorporate modern dishes and they even have a full Veg menu! Everything we tried was delicious!! They have live music on the weekends! We danced and met so many local people who made us feel like part of the community. We will come back to Downpatrick just to go to The Barn, seriously can’t say enough positive things :)

We we pointed here this afternoon by another restaurant that was closed for the day. That was a big mistake on their part, as this will be our regular go-to when we're down this direction from now on. The food and service was fantastic, as well as being reasonably priced. Can't wait to get back!
