“Amazing family experience. This really got us and the kids into the Xmas spirit. Really well done. The kids had a ball. Visiting Santa made the whole experience he spoke to them about their favourite things and what they wanted for Xmas. Highly recommend is a tad expensive tho.”
“Do not go through Newcastle without stopping here for something to eat. Called into it today and complimented paul on his massive tray bakes. He said here is another one to take home with you free of charge. A real gentle man or what. I'll definitely be back. Cheers bud.”
“It felt like a night at the best 'local'. The rooms were well designed and different in the best way. The staff were great, the food good. Breakfast was excellent. Live music on the night we stayed and the locals gave us great craic.”

“The gardens and butterfly house are well worth looking at. The house isn't very big, but there's plenty to see. We brought a picnic and supplemented it with tea coffee from the cafe. Sat at the picnic tables amongst the many peacocks and enjoyed the sun. Gardens and maze are beautiful.”

“Traditional cafe, lovely lemon meringue with cream, also bought some locally made honey and potatoes from their own farm. Really friendly quality service too. If visiting Silent Valley don’t overlook calling in.”
“I have fairly low expectations of coffee shops at public attractions/gardens but I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The flat white pulled using groupwork coffee from castlewellan was fantastic and would rival any of the hipster outlets in Belfast. Really nice traybakes and friendly staff.”
“Loved this tea room in the estate, very dog friendly, allowing us to sit in as weather was poor, well laid out with plenty of dog bowls in the yard area, well done national trust castle ward, shame other properties can't follow this great example of how to be dog friendly.”
“Pleasant airy dining space. Toilets available. Free WiFi available.”
“Super kind staff! Didn’t enjoy what I ordered first so they replaced it for another drink. I never leave reviews but they were so kind I highly recommend trying here.”
“Great chippy fish and chips, chips were fresh, thick and crispy. Fish was haddock which was flaky and tender, really nice and not greasy, batter was also crispy and thin, if fish isn't your thing, their christmas menu looked great”
“We’ve been coming to wild coffee for over a year now as it’s dog friendly and as someone with a lot of food allergies/intolerance. it’s great to go somewhere and know I can get a drink without the stress. Staff are always super friendly and the covered seating area is super cute due to the little log burner (specially at Christmas time)”
