This place was magnificent really good complementary biscuits food was beautiful and so was the drinks
I've called in a couple of times recently for breakfast. Usually on the way to a golf course. Couldn't fault it. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food well cooked and very well priced. Definitely would recommend!
We have had coffee and scones here many times. occasionally the service is a little slow when it is busy. But the staff are very friendly and the coffee and sconescarr excellent. And it is not expensive!
Food was good, however my 87yr old mother was accused of vaping in the toilet when putting on her lipstick before leaving (she has never had a vape or been a smoker) She was deeply distressed by the false accusation and invited the staff to search her bag and pockets for a vape. The staff member declined to do this and continued to loudly verbally abuse her insisting that she had seen her do it and speaking to her in a disrespectful derogatory and derisory manner. Eventually the manager agreed to search her bag for a vape and of course didn’t find one and saw my mothers empty pockets My mother has never been spoken to in such a manner and is extremely emotionally impacted by the incident.
Had Brunch here last Sunday, before a walk around the lake, staff very friendly, offered coffee top ups. Food beautifully cooked, prices very reasonable. Definitely will return!
Food was delicious, setting was fantastic. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Gave us a free cup of coffee as it was going to be thrown out at the end of the day. So nice..
Lovely breakfast and homemade chips really nice and reasonably priced, staff were very friendly definitely recommend it
Nels mini breakfast was really tasty, bacon was cooked to everyone's individual perferance. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Staff came round to offer free refills of coffee and even offered to top teapot up with boiling water. Atmosphere in cafe very warm and welcoming.
Meals that were coming out were mostly sandwiches and toasties which all looked great, good sized portions lovely salad on the side reasonably priced, also quite busy. I opted for the fish & chips paid £10.95 (no peas) First impressions - good, although fish slightly on the small side. Chips 6/10 enough portion, only few undercooked Fish 2/10 a very generous 2 soley on first impressions of what looked to be a light batter. Fish flesh was watery zero flavour coming through, just watery squashy texture. Batter top slightly crisp and just the right thickness however underneath and inside was squashy-greasy- yak! Again zero flavour Overall, has to be worst Fish I've eaten Memorable for all the wrong reasons
